Just saw Kadri's cutthroat gesture to a Swiss player. The kid better calm down sooner than later.

If he's doing that in a game against Switzerland, I'm looking forward (or maybe not looking forward) to what he does when someone from the Americans gets under his skin.

Clearly this win proves we're twice as good as the Americans.

"My logic is undeniable"

Well, if USA puts up an 8 spot on Latvia tomorrow we'll know for sure!

Definitely. He had that high hit early in the game against Latvia, and then this stupid showcase after getting thrown to the ice by a Euro. He's going to get pounded into the ice if he does this against the Americans.

I really liked Kadri heading in, but I can't say I like the way he is heading. I thought we had a scoring line forward in the system, not Steve Downie with better hands.

Kadri took that run because he tried to hit Niederreiter and bounced off him and fell to the ice. He's a big baby. The recap on TSN shows his reaction on the bench after the botched hit.

That's the way I interpreted it. He was super frustrated and lost his cool. I know the NFL and NBA will automatically eject/suspend a player for the throat gesture.

He's a kid and got clowned in front of his own fans. He tried to cover it up with a stupid gesture and gloating about the score. I think we've all been there one way or another. He just handled lit like, well, a teenager.

Just another example of why I dont take the WJC seriosuly and view it as nothing more than a glorified pre-draft prospect exhibition

I hope you don't expect a serious response, because he clearly hasn't watched the games.

Kadri's a stud. If you are judging him by a couple of games, then would you be happier with Schenn, who everybody wanted last june?

Can we please not bring Kadri into every thread? It's TEAM CANADA, not KADRI. I'm seriously fed up with all this Kadri bashing and praising.

the Cormier line keeps grinding the opposition in their own zone. They're the so-called defensive line but they spend all their time in the offensive zone. I think Cormier does a really good job not taking penalties and controlling the play in the offensive zone. Kozun is really great as well on that line with Bourque.

I don't know if he's 100% but I can't say I hear Henrique's name much. Maybe it's just me.

henrique and schenn have been invisible so far this torunament.

henrique may get a bit of a pass because he doesnt play all that much, but schenn is supposed to be on the 'top' line. to disappear on the top line is a bit dis-heartening.

just want to put this in, the goalie for the Swiss is benjamin conz(the guy in my avatar) and he had 48 saves against Canada and 46 against the USA
hope he gets drafted(probably 7-8th round though) this year. i really like the kid.
