I like green's offense but his defense is... I prefer robidas and phaneuf, they play better defense and when we face the russians and i do not want green out there.

Niedermayer has become washed up, as much as he can become at least. He doesent deserve the respect this year. His career is already set in stone, but if Team Canada wants to win, leave Scott home.

Fisher is hot right now, but I just cannot see it lasting. Richards trumps him in most categories if not all and he has a lot more to prove at this point....
I'd still take Niedermayer over Pronger though. I'll take the guy that has great skating and puck-moving ability over the over-grown ogre any day.

I could see replacing Fisher with Mike Richards, but if you've watched that "overpaid point collector" at all this season, you should've noticed that he is looking like his old self again and leaving him off with his amount of speed and playmaking ability would be a mistake. However, it's Team Canada, with so many options at the forward position, it wouldn't be surprising if he was, and I wouldn't mind because he'd be more rested and there would be no risk of some sort of freak injury, lol.

The goalies are butter. Who wouldn't pick them? Only a homer from Columbus (Mason) or Dallas (Turco) would have anyone but those three.
Right now I don't even think that the notorious Courtesy Flush (aka KSS) would pick Turco over any of those goaltenders, which should tell you something, lol. It would be a homer to pick anyone but those three goalies, it would be a MORON.

It won't happen.

Richards is one of the centres on that team.

At least the man is smart enough to have Green on there, amazing for all the ppl that complain about the lack of offense in '06 he is still left off many projected rosters.

Replace Robidas with Duncan Keith and Don Cherry is right on the money this time.

Line and defense combos will probably be different though.

Nash-Crosby-Iginla (logical line--two elite shooters and one of the world's best passers)
Marleau-Thornton-Heatley (proven chemistry-no brainer)
B.Richards-Getlaf-Perry (Getzlaf-Perry combo, Richards can play wing)
Fisher-Staal-Toews (These guys are better suited for checking roles than anybody else on the team).

Morrow should make the team hands down! The leadership and heart he brings to the team would be ridiculous. A line of Morrow/Nash/Iginla would be virtually unstoppable!

Outside of that one playoff run a few years ago, I don't see why Brendan Morrow would be on this team over others.

Don't get me wrong, I really like the guy, but he just doesn't seem like the right pick to me.

IMO the only Dallas Stars that should be on this team are Richards and two longshots in Robidas and Neal. Morrow just doesn't have the speed or hands right now to be as effective as either of those two forwards.

Yeah, I just don't see how he is a good fit for this team.

They'll play there heart out in the minutes and not crying about ice time.
Playing for Canada and playing for an NHL team is not the same thing. Whose Heatley going to complain? I want more ice time than that bum Sidney Crosby? People can say whatever they want about Heatley in the NHL but the guy has never failed Canada, he has always been among the best Canadian players.
