What type of player is Blunden? What's his play-style?

He's a fringe NHLer at best. Decent board play and he's got some grit but that's about it. He tries to play an energy style but he's just not that good at it.

How do you put up 84 points in 60 OHL games, have a good showing in the WJC than have 0 points in 31 career NHL games...

He plays for Hitch. He isn't supposed to score. Just play defense.

I really liked his game 3-4-5 years ago.

I honestly thought he had top 6 potential years ago

But his progress stalled in Hawks system and he quickly fell down our depth chart.

The trade to Blue Jackets was supposed to be his chance but really he looks like at best AHL talent

I was pretty excited about him coming up in the Hawks system, but he's fell off the radar. I kind of forgot about him actually.

Maybe the Leafs will give him a shot. He couldn't do any worse than most of the guys there now anyway.

I've wanted to see this kid play for the Ducks for the longest time. Murray would be an idiot not to pick him up. He is the quintessential Randy Carlyle forward.

He'd better not pan out like that if we don't get him back...

Blue Jackets forward Mike Blunden has cleared waivers. He is likely to be sent to minor-league Syracuse tonight or tomorrow.
Nothing to see here!
