As long as they play like they did the last game i keep 'em together. Pouliot need to plays with skilled guys like Gomez anf Gionta, i don't want to see him play with Lapierre, D'Agostini or Metropolit (i love u man )

With gorges is our #4 D-man and rather than have a crap ass 3rd pairing we put Gorges there to bolster it.
Actually, Gorges is our #3 defenceman, but I endorse the sentiment you express.

Markov 26 minutes
Hamrlik 22 minutes
Gill 12 minutes
Total 60 for LD

Gorges 22 minutes
Spacek 20 minutes
O'Byrne 13 minutes
Bergeron 5 minutes
Total 60 for RD

Guys, we have a good team.

Two scoring lines ( If Pouliot performs)
A very effective third line that has been the most effective all season.
A fourth line that can be effective (If Lapierre gets back to last season's form)
1 elite top defenceman in Markov who makes whoever he plays with look awesome.
2 solid veteran d in Hamrlik and Spacek
Great complimentary d in Georges, O'byrne, Gill, and MAB

Still a lot of hockey to be played. If we dont have any more significant injuries, I predict we win the division. (You heard it here first!)

I predicted that also at the begning of the season with a healty lineup, I don't think we are a very strong team but I do think that we are better then Boston, Ottawa, Buffalo and the Leafs. I had a feeling that Boston would have the same type of season that we had last year after finishing first and that the loss of Kessel would hurt their goal production. Even half way into the season though it's still too hard to tell. Every team in the North-East is so unpredictable this year and especially with all the injuries.

Id say that we are a 3rd line center away from being a very good team when healthy. I hope we get our guy at the trade deadline or even before.

Agreed. I love Metro but I think the team needs a big mean S.O.B. to hold it down on the third line, especially if we want to go deep in the playoffs.

The guy i have in mind is Rod "the Bod" Brind'Amour. Here's why. Hes been there before, hes a tough SOB like you said, stats are declining but he can still play and would be a perfect 3rd liner. The guy is in incredible shape for a 40 year old. The canes will probably trade him at the deadline.

He wont be expensive at all with his stats and canes having a horrible season. I see him on a line with MaxPac and Skost.

EXACTLY! I can't fathom how people want Lapierre on a the 3rd line over Metro, I mean Metro has 10 goals, much better then 2 from laps.

Metro is an awesome 3rd liner for us, no reason give him less ice time.

Although MAB has been pretty talented on the wing, so who knows.

maybe a real checking line with

Moen-Metropolit and Lapierre on RW would be useful.

Well, Martin played his 4 lines alot more last game and when he cut it down to 3, it was Metro line that wasn't playing so Sergei is still getting some good icetime in my opinion and he had one of his best game last game too.

He had a pretty rough year last year too, Rod the Bod from two years ago would've been awesome on our third line but he's got pretty much nothing left in the tank now.

Actually, he can't anymore. Even Canes fans would agree with that statement, after all he's done for them, so yeah he's very over-the-hill-ish.

Yeah, I'm ok with that, just trying to get fancy.

The Po-Go-Gio is a three headed Habs monster. Strikes fear in the hearts of opponents.

BTW, there already was a GPG line. In the early 70's Vic Hatfield, Jean Ratelle and Rod Gilbert of the Rangers were known as the Goal Per Game line. Most here woudn't remember that....

I like to see line of Pouliot Plekanec Kostitsyn. The talent on this line is enormous, and I think they will complement each other. This will be closest thing of having a power line to go up against other teams top line.

Would Mara coming back be a good thing or bad thing?

Assuming we have know more injuries to our defense, is there even room for Paul Mara. I mean, the guy was -12! Who the heck do we take out?

Markov - Gorges
Hamrlik - Spacek
Gill - O'Byrne

Id consider O'Byrne but I thing he needs to play for his development.
