I agree with this - mainly because the game is at 5 PM and this was a heavy workload for Price tonight. I really don't think playing Price in back-to-back games this year has worked all that well either. We have 2 great goalies, these are the type of situations to split the load.

Coincidence that those players have "those kinds of performance" when playing with Metropolit and Moen?

Sergei looked pretty good considering his linemates too. I really like his tenacity. He might not have a bunch of points on the board, but you can see that he's working hard and creating stuff. His turnover at the end of the game in the offensive zone shouldn't have happened tho.

Markov is great, but I can't see him as captain. He is too low key.

Gionta is still the choice for me.

I'd play Halak tomorrow night against Florida because I think he deserves a quick comeback in net after that loss against Ottawa but I'd play Price against Buffalo. Halak had two chances to beat Buffalo and lost both, so Martin should go to Price for that one.

This the proper way to use your goalies, like Catchers in baseball on short -turns like that!

Koivu was low key as well but everyone loved him, bottom line is we are not with the team or in the room and we have no idea how these guys act and who likes who.I wouldn't have a problem with Markov,Cammalleri,Gionta or Gomez as captain

I meant just in terms of the naming the captain.
The rest of the season I can't/won't complain about his coaching... especially with what he had to work with

Well if you're giving credit where it's due... you should give some to Lapierre too. He had by far one of his better games this year tonight.

Lapierre, SK looked good, I thought. Well, SK tried to pull a one-on-one move in OT and a rush started the other way, but thankfully, Price bailed him out.

I like what I've been seeing from Sergei of late. I just hope he won't get discouraged playing on the 4th line; having the feeling that he's stuck there -- being less enthusiastic, his performance would suffer. Especially, if that line sees reduced ice-time. On the other hand, he can find additional ice-time on PK. Right now, he's keeping a good attitude.

Really? From where I was sitting, Lappy looked like a pathetic dog chasing trucks around. You say he had one of his better games this year--I say: "Playing better than crap is nothing to get excited over." Really, friend, Lappy serves virtually no function on this team. The only time I ever see him is when he's doing one of his skate-a-rama forechecks. Usually (and by 'usually', I mean 96.1% of the time) nothing happens and the enemy 'D' is able to skate out of their zone unmolested. Useless. Filler. That's what Maxim is. Filler. The guy is completely useless, and the sooner Montreal trades him for a stack of Hawaiian pizzas, the better things will be.

Cammy got away with a trip in OT...but that's karma because we should've had more PP's.
