I really wish we got to play a slew of good teams right about now so we know exactly were we stand. Most people probably have already this decided that this team is crap, and for good reason, but I bet if they win tonight everyone will be all high again... even though it's Carolina

getting beat by a slew of crappy teams doesnt tell you where we stand?
On one hand I'm a little worried about this game because Carolina isn't as bad as their record. Staal was out for a lot of those losses and he is really the powerhouse of the team, sort of like a lesser Gaborik to our team. Plus they are probably feeling pretty good about themselves coming off that beating of the caps and Staal in particular on making team Canada.
On the other hand, being overconfident can lead to problems for them and although the caps are an offensive force, their goaltending is not nearly on the level that ours is. If anyone on this team comes back with a solid performance tonight its going to be Hank. He is by far the proudest, most competitive player on this team, which is a good thing when you consider how important he is to winning anything when you cant score consistently.
Reading some of the quotes from last night it seems that the guys all at least realize how godawful they played. Dubi in particular was very critical of his performance, which is good because he might have been the worst player on the ice yesterday. Hopefully they will "redeem" themselves tonight as Gabby suggested that they have to. Lets see some of that pride manifest itself on the ice for Avery, that guy has too good an attitude and work ethic to keep this drought up. Lets go Rangers!
Watching the "Greatest Days" on MSG right now...God I wish I was old enough to remember the '94 Cup run. Gives me goosebumps and I never even watched it...so epic..
No mention of Rozy's OT goal in the top plays of the decade? Weak.
When the banner raisings of Richter, Messier, Leetch, and Graves constitute the "top play of the decade," that's a sign that your team has had one crappy decade.
