This is worse than all of the seasons before. I had so much hope going into this one and it looks like we're going to lose our eighth straight game. It seems that we're going to be a bottom feeder yet again. Teams that lose eight in a row don't make the playoffs.
I don't blame people in Atlanta for not going to the games. This might sound pathetic but I often hope that the franchise gets put out of its misery so I can cheer for a team that actually wins. With Kovalchuk leaving I can't see any kind of future. Bogosian and Kane aren't going to save this team by themselves. Our current ownership group will make no effort to bring in good players and no one would want to play for us anyway. Even if Kane and Bogosian become franchise players they will have no talent around them just Kovy for most of his years in Atlanta.
This team really needs a wake-up call. We in TB had to sit through a team on a 5 week pre-Xmas vacation, it wasn't fun. I know how frustrating it is to see super talented players doing nothing, you have my deepest sympathies.

We don't want your sympathy, we want your Stamkos and Malone.
If we trade Kovalchuk than lets pack our bags and official prepare to be in the Taylor Hall race. Anderson must go too. Even if we don't trade him we still need to prepare because Anderson is still here. It's lose lose situation. Actually if we keep losing he is bound to be fired sooner or later. Win win situation?
The ownership group is what needs to go. Waddell will be here as long as the Spirit is. Sadly a new owner would probably try and move the team.
My only problem with the owners is that they won't fire Waddell.
They have managed to build a pretty good NBA team, once they actually fired their incompetent GM. I just do not understand why they won't pull the trigger on Waddell. What on earth has he done to earn such loyalty?
Firing Waddell would be a good start. Hawks did fire Sund and made a great turn around. Mike Woodson is a very under rated coach though. He really helped turn that team around and helped develop all the young talent and even some of the players that started to fall off, he helped regain confidence. He made Josh Smith who he is right now. He is a great coach now IMO, that is why the Hawks are doing good too.
