maybe they'll hire MacT.

it would be interesting to see how that would go if they do.

Davis Payne is expected to be the coach at least until the end of the season.

Hopefully Mark Messier hears of this and hires Murray for the World Championships.

They blew another 3-0 lead heading into the 3rd against the Canucks, ended up losing 4-3. That was the final straw.

A good coach getting canned to save the terrible GM again.

What was the first time? I like what the Blues have done with their team. They have blue chip prospects up the ying yang. Way better off than we are.

I believe Murray was given the dreaded vote of confidence a few weeks ago, when John Davidson stepped in to speak with players and told them Murray wasn't going anywhere, so get your $h** together.

Sure enough...this happens. As I understand things, the players had played like they'd tuned him out. Sounds familiar, doesn't it? I could see MacT getting this job, but I'd have to wonder how he'd do (young core of players, older stubborn vets...again, familiar territory).

What happened to having good work ethic and pulling your weight regardless?

it just looks like Murray lost the room. But then again, I didn't think the Blues were for real. Yet.

Tough break for Murray. The team finished 6th last year and he gets the boot after the have a bad first half this year. One strike, you're out in St. Louis it seems.

Eh, nothing too crazy:

Quote:
"I don't think he was on the same page with everybody," Can Janssen told CP. "I think guys didn't know where they stood with him, and I think that's not a good thing to have in the locker-room.

"I had no idea where I was with him and I couldn't understand what he was trying to tell me. It was a bizarre situation."
If I'm Murray, I don't take criticism from a player who has five points over three seasons that seriously.

Yeah, because the team's going to fire Quinn when he's just halfway through his first season.

Absolutely idiotic on Janssen's part, embarrassing for that organization if a guy like him speaks up. He should be sent to the PB or even the minors for comments like that.

Not really. He is giving insight as to the poor communication that was going on. If I am Murray, I am listening and learning.

"Listening and learning"...

He's won 3 Gold's at the World Championships, the only coach to do this. Any time he's had a half decent roster to work with (or even subpar roster), his teams made strides and also made the playoffs. He's widely regarded around the league as being one of the better coaches and communicators. He turned that Blues franchise around.

Cam Janssen is a 4th line bum who's hasn't accomplished much, if anything in his career to this point. Bounces in and out of the line up, he's a pugilist who plays 5 minutes a night. He's not allowed to comment in situations like these.
