Did I miss it?

Nope, I am watching it now. He looks like a guy who just lost his mortgage payment on the roulette table.

His head has to be as close to the chopping block as its ever been, and he's got to know it.

He's telling the guy that he hopes Atlanta can keep a fan base under the guise that Kovy will get signed, but he and his staff are secretly trying to tank so we can draft the goalie, Campbell.

Other than talking about Morin's hands, he really didn't say anything about the Thrashers.

Ya but Trader Don got us Damien Rhodes, Norm Maracle, a bunch of dead fish, and even got first rounders Kari and Pavs, so he knows what he's talking about, lol.

Is anyone around here going to the Nashvegas game?

I had been considering it, but I've decided not to do it.

pavs was a second rounder. he also drafted nurminen who would probably atill be our number one if he hadn't been hurt

Buck up little fella,

McConnell had it all wrong. He said we had 41 pts. We have 42. We are in 9th with a couple of games in hand on Montreal and lots of home games coming in Jan. and March. Only 1 pt. out of 8th and 3 out of 6th. If Waddell could pull a goalie (goalie coach) outta his arse, I'd like our chances. Moose is super, but he's wearing down into the nub that he is.

I really think what we're seeing here is the results of a severely compacted schedule combined with a bunch of players trying to save something for the Olympics.

I was a huge Pasi fan. It broke my heart when I read about his knee. A freak accident cost the poor man his career, really sad stuff. I've never seen a goalie hate to get scored on more. I watched him break a stick in practice after giving up a goal during a game of shinny. The dude was INTENSE.

ASF, with how much of a big deal you make about wanting Anderson fired, I swear... if or when he does get the axe, you better be prepared to throw a huge party and invite all of us and provide free beer and wings for everyone.

okay, I hate to do this, but what's our record with Popovic on the ice????

He was signed because he "knows the system". I know he's not a wonderkind on defense, but could it be that he might actually communicate on the ice? Our D-men have been known for not talking on the ice since Havelid's days here.

Oystrick had his moments here as well, and he too, was one of JA's "guys" in Chicago. Personally, I wish they'd bring up Kulda and Postma for Schubert and Salmela.

I rather have Oystrick up than Valabik personally. I'm not sure what needs to be changed but SOMETHING does.

You bet i'll be celebrating non stop the minute his firing is announced.

Now don't quote me on this but we are on a 8 game losing streak, the way i see it is we can easily get it to 13 especially with Anderson behind the bench. I can see Anderson getting fired Friday the 8th, or Friday the 15th. (lol i said 13 but honestly, we can lose out because like i said it is Anderson behind the bench)

I'm going to the game on the 28th. I think i'm bringing a sign if we continue to blow and Anderson is still coaching.

our schedule eases up a lot after pittsburgh tuesday. lots of home teams and easier teams to play. maybe once the guys get home and get some good practice in their own facility we'll see the turnaround.

or maybe anderson will get fired and ASF will be named interm coach

Oh yeah because the 4 games right after Pittsburgh are all scrub team. Rangers, Capitals, Sens, Sabres... all easy wins...

Right now, Anderson's Thrashers team can't beat the Hurricanes. There is no easy win with this Thrashers team.

stats for bottom pairing d-men

with valabik in lineup-3-7-1. 15-10-5 without him
with salmela in lineup-9-6-4. 9-11-2 without him
with popovic in lineup-9-5-3. 9-12-3 without him
with schubert in lineup-16-16-6. 2-1 without him

valabik winning 27% losing 64% ot losing 9%
salmela winning 47% losing 32% ot losing 21%
popovic winning 53% losing 29% ot losing 18%
schubert winning 42% losing 42% ot losing 16%

valabik standings points earned in 36% of games
salmela standings points earned in 68% of games
popovic standings points earned in 71% of games
schubert standings points earned in 59% of games

*all percentages rounded to the nearest hundreth

valabik even, 2 points, 11 games played
salmela +3, 4 points, 19 games played

no, but i hate people with signs because they obstruct the view of other people and usually whatever's on them is either in bad taste, not funny, or dumb. just be polite with it and don't hold it up when play is going on
