Technically this belongs in the Worcester thread, but this is "major" news that probably deserves its own thread.

Damn, we're gonna have a lot of young guys next season - Couture, Ferriero, Mitchell, McGinn.

Props to both of them! Couture is on fire!

How has Ferriero been developing? You think he will be top 6 worthy next year? If we can't hold on to Marleau, then someone from the W will have to take his place... :-\

Neat, nice to know those guys are doing well after going back down, and to know that we do have some prospects with offensive potential.

We really do have a good crop of young kids right now. Makes you wonder if they are going to be used as trade bait for something, or will be kept as the forwards we do have still have some years in them.

That is a question. Which one of these guys is earning his way onto DW's next Stanley Cup winning deadline deal?

My money, at least for the top rung guys, is on "none". Because of SJ's cap situation there's no way to get equal value back for trading one of the Sharks prospects short of blowing up the whole roster.

There's a chance we might see a McCarthy or Mashinter type prospect being traded, but I'm pretty confident that unless the trade is an absolute knock out deal--and the cap situation just about eliminates that possibility--there won't be a trade involving the big names.

But what if the next next Rob Scuderi is out there!?!?! I certainly hope DW will not make any trades this time around, although it's also clear that something needs to change on D for this team to really be favored.

Are you implying we should trade Huskins away, and then trade to get him back again?? YES! Emphatically YES! You sir are brilliant.
