If he's at 210-215 pounds he will be impossible to knock off the puck with his lower center of gravity then most d men and that kind of strength would be crazy.

That's, of course, a lean 260.

Actually, looking at that picture of Gretz I'm thinking Gagner now needs a little more horizontal action.

What a difference a year makes.

I agree, he has filled out well. I just hope his speed isn't affected.

He'll still be quick. I'm sure he's worked harder at getting faster than he has at bulking up. He's going to be tough as hell on the puck this year, and thats a scary thought for someone trying to check him.

why is he up on the draft podium anyway? if K-Lowe just calls him and say "I want you on the draft podium", what about Cogliano?

They are likely trying to make him the Face of the Franchise, which I'm quite happy with.

I read somewhere that Gags was at the draft with friends and the Oil saw him and invited him up. It apparently wasnt planned.

If Gagner ever hits 210 I'd be shocked.

I thought I heard them say during the draft that Anderson and Gags were there to represent Lorne Davis' first and last draft picks.

ahh, ok, thanks. that's really cool. i wish i was an oiler.

btw, i was reading glenn anderson's comments about the Oil, and it just struck me how important chemistry is. if the margin in sports is inches, that chemistry will be absolutely monumental in terms of making a difference. who will you take that extra hit for ? etc...

i wish i was an oiler.

Gagner might break 200...but only by a few. he is not 6 feet and if you already start out gangly, the only way you put on that much weight is if you bulk up to fight, or you get fat...either way, you slow down. my guess is he will be between 195 and 200....203 with the mullet
