U20 Swiss team

I was amazed how they played. I was really proud ... they just seemed to step up their level, game after game.

We will see if they get a medal but i was seriously impressed and felt that with a full team (Sbisa, Berger and Josi), they could have matched an average playing Canada.

And by the way, the addition of Berger (6.4 ft, 205 lbs) would have been welcome against Canada. Niederreiter would have been less isolated in the offense and an added physicality would also have equilibrated some things. In spite of that they played a hard game.

2 Swiss named in the all star team :

The all star team, which is composed of the best players of the WJC (U20) has included 2 swiss players :

the Goalie : Benjamin Conz
forward : Nino Niederreiter

The other players were :
D – Alex Pietrangelo (CAN)
D – John Carlson (USA)
F – Jordan Eberle (CAN)
F – Derek Stepan (USA)

So 3 countries share the All star team. USA + CAN and Switzerland with 2 players each.

I do not remember Switzerland contributing to this point to any all star team accross all hockey WC.
