Well he does actually have one assist on a goal scored by the Rangers.

Who is player B? I don't see any Ranger having played 2 games. Or are we talking Johnson on LW?

The one assist would fit...

But seriously, I think Christensen deserves to stay for now. Brashear definitely doesn't, and if I'm not mistaken this season his cap hit would actually disappear should he be assigned toi Hartford. Next season it definitely won't though

It's been said plenty of times, doesn't Brashear still count against the cap if he's sent down?

no one goes down.......just add Prospal and sit Brashear and Voros. They don't need a good all the time. I am sure Lisin will get benched though despite 2nites goal

a trade will come soon anyways

I think the first line of dubi christensen and gabby should stay and prospal should be on second line so we actually have a scoring threat on the 2nd line that doesn't miss wide open nets(higgins.)
It doesn't really matter who sits whether its brash or voros neither do anything

I agree I think the first line is fine. Prospal should be on the 2nd line and try to get them going. Higgins, Drury, Callahan line those 3 are kind of the same type of players. Replacing one of them with Prospal might help the other two score some more goals.

Perhaps, but Prospal needs to be on the first powerplay unit.

Yes, player B is Chad Johnson. The guy who has been our backup goalie for a month and hasn't even played a full 2 games has as many points as a forward getting consistent playing time.

We were told that Brashear was brought in because he could bring more offense than Orr; if it's even possible, he's brought less. Not to mention, he's 3 times the fighter Brashear is anyway.

This isn't me crying to get Colton Orr back. All I'm saying is that Brashear is an absolute waste of space. He provides little offense and has gotten into what, two fights this year? He's not scaring anybody. We'd be so much better off with a Sjostrom or Ortmeyer on the wing for cheap. They would contribute in their own way. I'm not saying we'd be on top of the conference with at substitution like that, but the difference in ability between teams in the NHL is so small that you can't afford to waste ice time on a scrub like Brashear. The guy doesn't really hit, can't score, can't pass, has no speed and thus is worthless on the forecheck, and is ,at best, irrelevant defensively. The guy hasn't even policed the ice. If he is on the team next year I'll lose my mind.

Most of us hated the Brashear signing from the beginning.

As fans, it's nice being right sometimes. But this guy really is done. Sather needs to do all in his power to get this waste off the books via trade. It's pathetic because even if he retires or is waived we're still on the hook for that contract.

Although I am a firm believer that ever team needs a goon. Brashear needs to vanish and when Soryal gets healthy he should be called up and platooned with Voros until someone solidifies that position.

God I hate Brashear.

But then again, our "goon" is the least of this teams problems right now.

Its actually kind of nice that you can't get rid of Brashear's cap hit.

Forces Sather to get rid of 2/3rds of a Redden,Rozsival and Kotalik combination if he wants to re-sign Staal and Girardi, among others. 3.35 from Higgins and Prospal isn't going to cut it and he'd be a complete moron to let even more valuable assets walk for nothing just to hang on to his dignity.

Then again i can see him ****ing them around in arbitration while he squabbles over sums of 50k. The egotism is certainly there.

LTIR would be the only way...
Although that rule that the cap-hit doesn't disappear only starts in the second year of a multi-year contract, so this year we could send him to HFD and clear the money. Maybe some team is stupid enough to claim him but probably not...

Without reading the rest of to find out who Player A or B is, I suggest we send them both packing.

Um, if I had a goalie who had an assist every other game, he'd be the best player on my team.

You just can't rip apart the first 2 lines as they are clicking right now. So Prospal - Anisimov - Avery on the 3rd, Lisin - Boyle - Kotalik on the 4th would be my lineup. Voros and Brah out, of course. Looks like a pretty decent lineup in first sight, as long as everyone plays on the edge.
