This is terrible news. There is nobody that can replace Andrei on this team. For a team that lacks size I would rather lose Cammalerri than him. He opened up a lot of room for those 2 on his line and was great along the boards.

Good teams can find ways to fill in these voids short-term, and judging by our earlier performances with injuries, none of our depth players can do it.

I don't think there is a team softer than us right now.

Sergei has enough talent to fill his brothers shoes. It'll be better than when he was flanking Gomez since he'll get to feed to linemates who shoot the puck. Gomez line has to take on 1st line duties and needs to step it up in production. At least have a few multi goal games. Pleks and Cammy with Sergei can contribute their share here and there. Big loss but not insurmountable. Not as big as loosing Markov.

Thank goodness Pouliot is panning out. We'd be missing 2 top 6 forwards if it wasn't for his acquisition. What a move.

Come on, you come here bringing the debate and I tell you to post in the right thread and you post arguments about the Halak-Price controversy.

I didn't even mention anything on who's the better goalie, who should start, who's good or bad... you're the one doing it, if you can't see it... well, there's a problem!

National Mourning day in Belarus... I guess they'll need to move up Kalyuzhny on the wing with Grabovski.

OH MAH GODSSS You must be serious because I sees no smiley!!! lolololol
So this isn't very good. And they couldn't take out Ballard last night, why?

What about Pouliot on the first to give size, SK on the 2nd? Gomez-Gionta-SK wans't that bad.

Maybe! But what can we give ? The Kings lost Williams and they need another veteran winger...

I like Sergei game alot but he can't create space on the ice like Andrei does. He's not strong like Andrei on the board play and he can't shoot and play in front of the net like him.He can't beat player one on one like Andrei . The only advantage he got it's he have a better vision.

It's a great chance for him but nobody in our current roster can fill Andrei skate. Our PP will suffer too.

I think this will hurt the Habs alot because AK46 have alot of what the Habs miss in general.

I think that the habs should call a C from Hamilton and try Metro on the RW with Plek and Cammy.

Would make the most sense. The three midgets were just as dangerous as 13-14-46 before Gionta got hurt, so you might as well have one line that can produce rather than 2 that are iffy.

Maybe they could use Metro as the veteran, would be good both become UFA

Maybe we could trade them Gill so they could reunite him with Scuderi

Part of me feels a little relieved for Gainey. Say hello to a 4 million a year, long term deal for Plekanec. He'll finish the year with max, 70 pts. Book it.

They didn't break up the 1st line's chemistry when Gomez was playing with scraps, so why should Martin change things to facilitate Plekanec now? I'm pretty sure they're going to give Bergeron a shot, and if that doesn't work they've got to try Desharnais. He's burning it up in the AHL and deserves a real shot.

I will pray that he comes back for next Thursday against Dallas, because I should be in the desjardins sections, hopefully watching him just like this.

good point. AK had momentum building on his side too, just had a feeling this stretch of games leading to the Olympic break was going to be a productive one for him.

The net result will be less assists for Plekanec, but maybe a few more goals for Cam though.

The only upside is he'll be fresh if ever we make it to the playoffs. It's now only a question of getting us there...

You're pretty sure they're going to give Bergeron a shot?

A fringe 7th dman and 13th forward is going to the top line? You've gotta be kidding me.

MAB is useful in 1 spot and 1 spot only, and we all know where that is.

The 6th forward will be a revolving door of Sergei, D'Ago, MaxPac and probably even Moen as JM has put him there before.

IF MAB is playing a top 6 role, JM is just proving my point even more and more, which is that he doesn't belong anywhere near an NHL franchise.
