His FLOOR?! Wow.... Now you're just getting ridiculous.

I get everything you're saying, and I largely agree, but to say at this stage that the worst he could be is a 20 goal scorer is crazy.

Chris Kreider is 18 and 6 months removed from USHS Hockey!

He had a real good WJC and his skill set is excellent but c'mon to peg him as a 20g scorer minimum in the show at this point is a joke!

Most of you don't care, but for those who do...

Pavel Valentenko made his season debut for Dynamo Moscow on Tuesday. He's been out since suffering a shoulder injury which required surgery during the KHL's pre-season back in September.

He was scoreless and minus-1 in 9:03 of ice time in his season debut.

No I'm not.

Callahan scored 20 goals, 40 points.

Kreider already brings more to the table.

Faster, bigger, more skill.

You can doubt it all you want.

I hate the way York use Kreider.

He gives him no ice time.

No PP time.

He was a standout on a gold winner at the WJC and it hasn't effected the way York uses him.

Can't say I trust York's ability to develop Kreider.

BC looks terrible. And beyond that, Krieder saw hardly any icetime. They seem to play a fairly careful positional game - not very dynamic, very slow, not particularly good in any facet of the game. Also, aside from 3 players they look really small. Not sure it helps Krieder develop all that well - but he should definitely learn about team defense. BU looks way better.

Frustrating as hell to watch Kreider sitting all the time... not only is he getting less games than he would in Canadian Juniors, but also less ice time per game.

Just demonstrates why many wanted him to forego BC for Candian Juniors.

I think he got all of 3 shifts in that 1st period, and none on the PP or PK.

krieder on for first shift. Almost split the D. Then, later in the shift let a guy get behind him in the D zone. Probably should have collapsed to the net. Hopefully that doesn't hurt his TOI rest of the way.

wow...Kreider is hardly getting any ice time. is he on the 2nd or 3rd line? almost like he's getting 4th line minutes. No wonder his stats are so low with BC.

Krieder's second shift (period 2) pretty good too. Did more offensively than the rest of his team. Good work in the corner. Really uses size well. Though he really does look lost in the defensive zone. glides around a little too much. Not proactive enough - he should be using his reach and speed inside his own blue line more.

I also turned it off based on sheer boredom and a lack of Kreider.

EDIT: I didn't know what was more boring... watching BC vs. BU or watching the Devils' extended intermission because someone forgot to pay Prudential Center's power bill.

This game is a perfect example of why outdoor hockey is better suited for recreation.

Is it because he's a freshman that kreider isn't getting time?

What a joke. What did Kreider get 5 minutes of icetime in the first two periods?

Sounds about right when I turned it off part-way into the second period.

I'm sorry, but Kreider has got to be talked into leaving BC for Canadian Juniors if he doesn't start seeing the ice... that lack of ice time is going to stunt his potential development considering he's also only playing around 2/3 of the games a Canadian Junior player would.
