I would also like to try a different team. Calgary was fun, but obviously I'd love Mtl

I know this game is pretty much over (other than the Bobby Ryan sweepstakes i guess) but if anyone is interested in Boyd Gordon I'd be willing to trade him for a mi-level defense prospect.

IR4 is supposed to make an update at some point this morning. You will see if you get one of the team you chose. If not, I suppose that he will send you a PM to see if you are interested in one of the teams remaining.

If you take Dallas in the new game, PM me. I already have all the salary info so you won't have to locate or create it. Have fun too BTW. Ribs is out until the trade deadline, and don't you dare trade Brad Richards, James Neal, or Loui Eriksson (the list got really long so I decided to limit myself to the top line).

I'm watching you .....

Hope you enjoy your blowout tonight. Guess who's starting in goal for the Isles.

I heard. Dallas is playing great at home the past month, but they are a joke on the road (I think 1 win in the last 10-12 compared to 8 wins in the last 10 at home). They live and die by Brad Richards who has over 30 points at home and he’s in the teens on the road.

They're coming off a 3 game losing streak (all in regulation) and an ugly injury to Ribs. They need something good to happen ......

Bobby Ryan Update!

Barring any last-minute surprise offers, Bobby will announce where he'll play the 2010-11 season by 9 pm EST tonight. It will take a significant offer above the 6 years and $6M per to sway him away from the offer he has received from a top Eastern Conference team.

take him.

The money players get paid this day and age is ridiculous anyways.

$6 million for a person with a career high of 57 points... paying for potential, not present.

That's the biggest mistake a GM can make.

Not qualifying a top RFA is actually the biggest mistake a GM can make.

Sometimes GM's have to pay for potential. I'd rather have Ryan at that money (although it is an overpayment) over contracts that Kovalchuk and Semin got (with the crazy term), maybe that's just me though.

Eklund was right!

The Caps are proud to announce the signing of Bobby Ryan!

When asked to comment George McPhee had this to say " Yeah, so we overpaid for the kid, in 2 years when he's putting up monster numbers in the high powered Washington offense people will complain that we got him for a bargain. We had a need for a top-six player and we accomplished that. This off-season we basically traded Semin for Ryan and four 1st rounders...you tell me what you think of that!"

6 million is a bit much but to get Ryan and 4 1st's is really nice.

Well, Turco shut the door at the end. Pretty good game. Some notes from my side:

-Your ice really sucks.

-Does Robidas rock the cage because it looks badass? Or is it still related to the previous face injury?

-What a shot by Eriksson on the 2nd goal. Right in the sweet spot.

-Why does Tavares have to hit the ****ing post with seconds to go?

It's usually rated as one of the better sheets, but this schedule is killing them. The Olympic rush to play games has caused several strings of hockey and b-ball games which causes the ice to suck.

Another facial injury. I love his heart. His orbital bone was caved in by a Modano slapshot in practice. Had surgery that day to pop it into place. Played a game the next day.

Full on man crush. He an Richards are great together, and Loui is playing even better now that they moved him back to LW. I'm serious .... I might hurt the next Dallas GM is he trades him.

Quote:

I'm just glad it was over. I see you were being nice by not mentioning Turco. Freaking idiot ......

Dallas has no chance with him in net. That 3rd goal just killed me. He's allowed 3 or more goals in 15 of the last 20.
