Meszaros a healthy scratch? Is he really playing that poorly? Aren't they just a really bad team which makes him look bad? Just last season he was a darn good defenseman. Wonder if they'd take Coburn for him.
We can not afford another 4M d-men.

Anyway, who is in the net for us? Emery?

I don't think many people will tell you Meszaros was very good last season.

Meszaros also makes too much ($4M) for probably too long (4 more years). I think most people will say his rookie year was his best year.

Let Kimmo have a rest, it's clear he hasn't been 100% for a while.

Emery will play tonight.

For the Phantoms:

NHLFlyers

Ray Emery has been loaned to the Phantoms for conditioning purposes, and will play in their game tonight. 9 minutes ago from TwitterBerry

I don't care how well Leighton plays. It's a joke that some people are even talking like he should be this teams permanent backup. He's Michael ****ing Leighton for ****'s sake.

He's done a great job in an emergency type situation but once we Parent comes back he's done. He's earned himself a backup job somewhere else next season which is all he wanted to do anyway. And we can all feel happy for him.

Whatever facts anyone puts up in Leighton's defense I will retort with the following: He's still Michael Leighton.

He's not, he's on a conditioning stint with the Phantoms. I think that is probably for the best.

For selfish reasons I wish he was starting for the Flyers.

I wish they made this a one or three oclock start. I doubt many people are going to be watching this in its entirety because of the Eagles-Dallas matchup. If it was a different playoff matchup, I'd still watch the Flyers but it is really tough to not watch an Eagles-Cowboys playoff game. Hopefully either the Flyers dominate early or the Eagles do so I can focus on one game.

**** the Eagles. I've never known another team who gets so much recognition for never doing a damn thing anyone cares about.

They couldn't make it a 1pm start because the Lightning were in New Jersey last night.

Would have been interesting to see what happened if the Eagles game was here though

Why was the game not rescheduled to 1? The NFL is actually pretty inconsiderate with everything they do. They don't give a **** about other sports schedules at all because they know they will still get the majority of viewers.

it's been said above. Tampa played last night. It wouldn't be fair on them
