The sad part about Laraque is that he doesn't even play physical!!

From a Dogs fans point of view I'd rather have Maxwell and Pyatt in our line-up than White.

It depends what you're looking for (offense? speed?). If the Habs wanted to add strength and grit, White's a better candidate.

Wow... I guess the vegan proteins he's eating aren't holding his body together... Come on George, start eating meat or resign from this crap contract, please.

He needs a good 16oz steak. He probably dreams about them in his sleep.

White has 5 goals in his last 6 games. I'd take him over Maxwell any day.

I hope he gets called up, but it's probably Ryan White. or someone gritty.
the only Desharnais would be top 5 speed wise would be if Lats, Chipchura, Gill and BGL were the only players on the team.

Desharnais is not fast, in no way am I saying he's slow but there's no way he would be anywhere near our 5 fastest guys.

Sergie is out for a couple more games with the leg injury.

Serious? I mean, you probably watch more Hamilton games than me, but in preseason, and the game he was called up he had crazy speed, and I've read a few reports that praise his speed.

Maybe a diet based on lentils and tofu isn't ideal for a pro hockey player?

Probably 5th separate injury, 9th time overall where he's come back and then missed games. 10 if you count the suspension.

To be fair though, while there are obviously things keeping Corey Locke out of the NHL, he's never really had a chance to show anthing in this league. He's more than 15-points ahead of anyone else in Hartford this year and was the Bulldogs best offensive player for years.

While a lot of people count him out, he's dominated every league he's ever played in, who's to say given a season to adjust, that he couldn't dominate the NHL? Like I said, obviously their are reasons holding him back (skating, defensive effort), but I can't really call someone a bust when they dominant the AHL from the first time they step on the ice and never get a shot in the NHL.
I'd be shocked if Locke could make it in the NHL. If he was faster then perhaps but when your small, slow, bad skater, not good in your own end, and don't always work hard, it's a bad mix. Granted I haven't seen him since he was traded, as I don't recall him from his games against the Dogs this year.

I watch at least 90% of every bulldogs game each year, so yea I've seen him a ton. He is not overly fast and if he was I'd be much higher on him, if he only had Gio's speed as he has so much skill. Imo it's the biggest problem he has. It's not that he's slow, as he's clearly not and in fact I would say his speed is decent. In no way whatsoever would i say he would be top 5 on the Habs, I would say he's closer to the bottom 5 now that Lats/Chiper are gone.

Because he doesn't have a contract or because another team has his rights?

Next year, I'd burry BGL to the AHL and sign him instead to the league's minimum...

Gainey calls down and asks for a forward, they ask who is playing the best all around game and then Boucher and Brisebois recommend who to call up.

It isn't based on offence.

The first two are fine for the fourth line duties.

Stewart is a carreer AHL player at best.

Trotter is just another small forward that the Habs love so much.

I HOPE LARAQUE'S CARREER is OVER in MONTREAL !!!

This just made my day. I was walking my dog this morning and wondering how much better of a team we would be with Ryan White in Georges Laraque's spot. Someone must have heard me

I'm fine with White callup. But we need a backup plan if the D'Ago/MaxPac experiment doesn't work up front. So at one point, I would not have been against a guy called to start on the 4th line but to get some shifts on the Pleks line if needed. Would White be able to hold his own on that line for a short period of time? Would Trotter be more able to do it? Or like I suggested before, how about turning Maxwell into a winger and use him there until AKost comes back. Yes, we are not talking about a big punishing winger who'll win his battles along the board, but you need to work with what you have.

And frankly, out of the players we have, the only one who could hold his own offensive on a Pleks line, could be Maxwell. Unless, you want to give Darche a try....I know he's slow, still he's a sniper who could at least be tried 1 or 2 games.

Woulda actually prefered a more offensive player, but even then I'd give White a shot on the first line. He's right handed too and got a pretty good slapshot/one timer. That's actually one more then then Pac and D'ago showed on the first line and I absolutely love Pacioretty on a more checking line. Would just give White a shot over D'ago and see what happens.

Woulda still liked Trotter or Maxwell to have a shot too, but Maxwell may not be super confortable on the right side.

White deserves it tho.
