Nathan Dempsey, Pavel Vorobiev, Ty Jones, Boris Mironov, Sergei Berezin...HOOOOOOOOLY NIGHTMARES!!!

But now, we've got Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews, Brent Seabrook, Duncan Keith, and Marian Hossa!!! Good times, good times!!!

I'm not sure how much stock the other posters are going to put in our opinions being that we're the biggest Barker haters on these boards. But haters gotta hate, don't they?

Other than the first 10 minutes or so, as predicted.

Wow, look at NHL.com. Niemi has played enough games to be ranked in stats.
1st in the league in GAA.
6th in Sv%.

The guy is really good.

Why anyone gets down on this team with a paltry two goal deficit is beyond me. It's getting to the point where we almost need to start spotting teams a goal or two.

Agreed.

I'm not complaining at all. I sat through so many crappy teams the past dozen years, that I think I, and we as Hawks fans deserve a great team.

Dale Tallon did a good job. I'm glad he didn't sell the farm for odds and ends when he easily could have for the first couple seasons after the lock out.

2 reasons

- I expect perfection
- I always look at the negative side of things so that I am not disappointed in result should it go badly,,,,,,

So that applies to your outlook in life as well?

The Hawks at this point and even at times last year need to spot other teams a 2 sometimes (5 goal cushion-Calgary ) just to get motivated for games. They are head and shoulders above every team in the league and their overall stats prove it. It's not me being bias. Deep down this team knows it's awesome. They remind me exactly of the Wings from 2 years ago.

Hockey is far too chaotic a game to achieve perfection. We're not far and away the best team in the league (I certainly wouldn't think light of a 7-game series with San Jose, Buffalo, or the Penguins) but to declare a game over and have no faith in our boys to score goals (SERIOUSLY. LOOK AT OUR ROSTER.) is just moronic.

Yea, I think the team knows they are awesome, but they're not letting it "get" to them. They're still taking things one game at a time and aren't overlooking anyone. I think it has a lot to do with their leadership and their overall maturity.

White Sox fan here,,,,,,,,, I am happy with how my team performed in postseason

And everyone who is not a blind Cubs homer knows that Gonzalez cost them the game and Wood and Prior's crappy late game pitching cost them the series
