I cant believe Sanguinetti is still on the board here...just because he isn't being fast tracked, or isn't new and shiny...its ridiculous. Hes a top point producer in the AHL, hes gotten better defensively, and has produced BIG TIME at every level he has ever played in.
Agreed...Sanguinetti's the pick...add Sauer.

The kid is thought to be ready to play in the NHL and he will wind up not even in our top 10. Nice. That's quite a statement about our depth.

If the reasoning is that Kreider, McD, and Stepan have a really high ceiling(higher than Sangs) then why are they not ahead of Grachev and AA as well, who IMO and I think in most opinions will be 2nd line players at best?

AA is arguable (peronally I think he think he's 50/50 to play 1st line eventually) and Grachev's ceiling is as high as Kreider's.

Grachev as a 2nd liner at best is definitely not the majority opinion. Anisimov is closer to that, but I think most everyone agrees that he still has the potential to be a 1st line C. 2nd is much more realistic, but it's not his ceiling.

Sanguinetti, he is the closest to ready.
McDonagh could go here also no problem.

Add Weise

I like that Jonathan ranks his prospects for us. I've occasionally done it in the past myself. It gives you a good idea how he thinks and to be honest he always puts a lot of time and effort into looking at and tracking prospects.

For those who think that Sanguinetti isn't high enough they should keep in mind that the Rangers have a lot of really excellent prospect. On my list Sanguinetti would be 7th as well. I also rate McDonagh ahead of him. Being closer or closest to the NHL is only one factor to consider. McDonagh for me has more upside and his style fits the needs of our team better.

For the 5 slot though I'm going with Kreider. Add Sauer.

Sang, add Weise.

Try and convince me we don't have the best prospect pool in the league. What separated LA from us was they had better goaltending prospects, and now we have a very legit prospect in Johnson, and Stajcer is no slouch either.
