{MOD EDIT} A breakaway against one of the leagues stars but I guess you wouldn't know that.

Seriously, he was great tonight (outside of the 1st goal).

I think pessimism is out of place tonight. The teamed played with a very good team, even outshot them. It was a very even game, the last few games were much unlike what we've seen before that I'm starting to wonder if Martin or his players haven't trashed his system and tried something different.

The OT fairy has been very good to the Habs, we can't complain that she makes us lose one here and again.

All in all, as aencouraging a loss as you're ever likely to see. For the long-term success, I'd rather have a loss like this than any number of wins like those Halak stole a couple weeks ago. If this team is to make the playoffs they're going to have to earn it by improving their game, and games like this are a step in the right direction.

Just need a bit more luck with the shooting now.

Getting 3 points out of 3 goals in 2 games (one against Jersey) with AKost out... I'll gladly take that, thank you.

However... eventually Pleks and Cammy are going to have to get it done with out AKost.

Good game where we carried the play. Halak kept us in when we needed him too and Gomez line played really well. We showed we can hang with good teams and we could have won that a couple of times in ot.

Not every game needs a goat, btw. Sometimes a team just loses.

Gill sucked.
Pouliot was ok, Gionta too.
Markov was good outside of that last play, not Bergeron's night either.
White played great, Lapierre looked a little slow.
Liked what I saw from Moen, good grit.
Also, good rebound from Spacek, he was solid
Halak was outstanding, just shows that he can play against top teams too.
What game were you watching, Jersey shots all night were from bad position, or bad angles and no screens...Halak wasn't outstanding, he had a easy night.

Halak can't win against top teams.

Discuss.

Halak made some great saves but let in a softy in the first period. Whether the game winning goal was savable is certainly debatable.

Whatever, we needed this point

They hung with the best team in the league and got a point out of it. I'll take it.

Just understand, Brodeur does not lose to Montreal. I can't wait till he retires.

Great game! Exciting, good goaltending, good chances, and lots of impressive stuff.

D'Agostini was good, White was good, and Pacioretty worked hard as hell. Good stuff from the kids.

Are you ******** me? hahahaha, I think that you Price fans just intentionally block out or try and find a way to degrade Halak's performances. He made several key saves in the 3rd, so I don't know which game YOU were watching.

You missed the other typical part....the Habs score 1 lousy ****ing goal.

Price and Halak are usually not the problem...tonight was no different.

Can someone tell me why Martin doesn't use Markov for the full 2 minutes on the PP?

the ot loss exposed, as many have mentioned, a glaring weakness. this team has too many fairies that don't go to the net. you beat brodeur about 99% of the time by jamming the crease and screening him, deflections etc.
we don't do it. if we had; if d'agostini didn't float in far slot, same for pouliot, and others we'd have a few more

Great effort tonight against a very good team. Halak gave us a chance to win but we couldn't get it done. Oh well, habs get a nice little break. Let's hope it rejuvinates them for a final push leading up to the olympics.

yeah, yeah, we know the song...
Against Price = great scoring chances
Against Halak = easy saves

...it's time to change your tune...

I can't believe some of you guys are blaming this game on Halak. Unbelievable.

I'm pretty satisfied with the way the team played tonight. Sucks not to win, but we got a point and played pretty evenly with a good hockey team. Not a boring game either.
