New Lines (per Hammond)

Quote:
The Kings have recalled Alec Martinez and put Davis Drewiske on injured reserve, retroactive to last week.

Big changes to the practice lines today. Here’s how they’re skating…

Frolov-Kopitar-Parse
Smyth-Stoll-Simmonds
Richardson-Handzus-Brown
Ivanans/Moller/Segal/Purcell

After practice, we will find out if those lines will stick…

In Hammonds interview with Murray yesterday he said these will most likely be the lines tonight...

I kinda like them. The second line should do well

I like them as well, with the exception of RI, even if there is a "need" to dress him (assuming he does what he is paid to do (enofrce)and not what we've come to expect him to do (nothing or worse))

That said, I wonder what the players think when the lines get shuffled nightly in seemingly endless combo's.

OTOH, it sure would be nice to see lines that work effectively and could stick. I hope this is that set of lines!

yea it will be interesting seeing richie on the wing too. Him and Brown had some chemistry, Zus should be a great addition to that.
I wish ivanans didnt play. ever

Are the Atlanta scouts in LA? Frolov, Parse + for Kovalchuk?

Is Parse a natural rw? He's been on the lw most of his time here.

Oh brother, TM and his constant line changes.

Not quite sure why Moller went from 2nd line to now 4th line but that's TM for you.

Clueless as to why Smyth and Kopi have split up.

The Kopitar line looks more like a 3rd line to me. Stoll's line is #1 and Handzus' line is #2.

Kopitar's been playing like a third line center so it works...

Crash and bang, meat & potatoes line, Smyth-Stoll-Simmonds should provide lots of energy. But honestly don't expect much scoring, I think Smyth only has 4 EV goals this season, and one of the knocks on Stoll's offensive game is that he doesn't create enough 5 on 5.

For the sake of this team let's hope Kopitar wakes up and Frolov gets real hot.

... I wish I knew Murray's reasoning behind his insistence of playing guys out of position. Does he think this will make them perform better, somehow???

I don't see where playing Purcell on RW with Frolov and Kopitar and playing Parse on LW with Moller and Segal hurts the team at all.

i wouldn't mind seeing Simmonds up with Frolov and Kopitar, and Purcell skating on the Smyth-Stoll line.

i see the rationale behind skating Parse on that line. it's putting Dustin Brown on that line without having to actually put Dustin Brown on that line.

Parse will shoot from the Forum Club if he thinks he might have a lane.

If he really use this lineup we get as
big time beating........

Thank good he is doing the lineup just for some fotoshooting
before the game and mix 'em as soon as the Puck drops

Stoll was doing fine as 4th line center.
Moller belongs to the left wing, our last hope to have a decent left wing.
Richardson is a center who makes his linemates better.
Ivanans should be kept in the locker room to throw creampies
in his face that would create a good mood before the game.
Kopiatr ans Smyth belongs together.......

but why do i care........
every 8-1 beating brings us near to a hockey coach

I'd go to see that if just for its nostalgia value!

I'm fine with everything Terr-Murr is doing these days. Kopitat and Captain Drown are going to get us good draft picks come June.

I'm glad to see Brown and Richie back on the same line. They were developing some nice chemistry before Murray couldn't stand it and changed the lines again.
