I hope for all that is holy Hamhuis is traded, those who say "Oh we will miss his experience" look at how he leaves guys in front of the net to score easy goals.

At least Suter looks great as always and each line has a guy who looks like they want to win.

If we can get some PP time, and VAN is gonna let Jones and Horny stand infront of Lu-sive-o alone. Our special team stats will get a bump, and we'll smash these Vancouver Cansucks.

I thought the Legwand penalty to start the game was a bad call but the call on Ellis was the worst call on any team in any game that I've seen this year. Naturally it leads to a goal immediately.

Yeah, even as a Vancouver fan I can admit that those two calls were extraordinarily weak. Maybe the refs are trying to make up for Saturday's effort by their coworkers

They got that wrong, too.

And why the hell is LEGWAND on the point?!

you would think the ice is bad in there the way we are handling the puck tonight.

this PP is so sad. you have no excuse for losing a game when you are granted 5 power plays. Really hope it doesnt come down to that

Wow, ok, the diving call on the Canucks was probably worse that the Ellis penalty. They don't hate us... they just suck. Nail biter of a game. Powerplay failure isn't helping but both teams are playing well. Both look a bit spent after that 2nd period.

wow, what has gotten in to these refs tonight?!

Dont worry Canuckleheads, our PP isnt going to do any damage. Wow, what a bomb, nevermind that.

The puck was off his stick and in the net in .00002 seconds, wow.

Well, we took advantage of bad officiating. Feels kind of hollow, though.

It isnt fair to Vancouver but it isnt like we havent been the victim of officiating before.

The nucks also took advantage of bad officiating. Both teams and fan bases should be pissed that we can't get better officiating than that.

No hollow feeling here though

seriously though, this is one of those things that keeps hockey at the bottom of the list when it comes to the major sports. The officiating is horrendous on a weekly basis and has been for a long long time.

very true, the goal directly off of the Ellis call should never have happened, so really the game shouldnt have even been that close to begin with at that point in the game.

What an odd post, considering the circumstances that decided the outcome of the game.

I would complain more but we got the win and we needed it bad.

I have no problems with Canucks fans being upset, rightly so, that was bad.

But I feel like this is the first time we have come out on the right side of this kind of game in 11 seasons. So Im happy for the win.

I agree. This game was absolutely HUGE. Good to get a win, even better to get a win against the Canucks.

Either (i) that is the worst set of officials in any major league or (ii) they are Canadian fundamentalists-- favored the home country Nucks early with the horrible calls but then saw that dry humping display on Ellis by Sedin and had to throw the entire Nucks team into the pit of eternal damnation.

I haven't come up with any other logic to how badly they called the game. In fairness, they set the tone early with the Legwand call and then never let up.
