However, if he's that much better at wing, then you have to keep him there because it's his best position for the team. Christensen playing well is something I didn't see but it's a great thing to have happen for us. If he can produce like this all year, somehow turning a corner on his career, then we definitely can keep Dubi on the wing for awhile. Especially with guys like Stepan and Werek in our system.
Personally, I think Werek plays the wing at the pro level.

Though it'll be interesting to see how guys like Anisimov and Stepan develop.

Does everyone honestly believe Christensen will keep this up?

No. But when Prospal comes back, he can occupy a center spot, too.

Yes but people are hinting that Christensen might of suddenly got off the NHL slump simply by having a decent 2 weeks.

i think most are hinting at riding his productive play until he goes back to normal.

Anisimov and Stepans development will dictate alot, IMO they are the only TRUE young C's in the organization that will continue playing C throughout their professional careers. Werek is definitely a LW at the next level, IMO.

If we want Dubi to play a top 6 role I think he is better suited to LW. If the other two develope into top 1st/2nd line C's then Dubi can slot in at 3rd line C where he looks like he is better suited and would be excellent.

Dubinsky's game right now in a top 6 role is more geared to LW.

Christensen is who he is, as ecemleafs said above; enjoy it while it lasts. He is week to week if not game to game right now.

And when he has his Hall of Fame induction ceremony in 2023, I hope he remembers my invite.

whether or not he does has NOTHING to do with whether or not dubinsky is better suited to play LW. yes christensen's play has allowed them to make that change, and if christensen's luck runs out and he falls on his face that might force us to move dubinsky back to the middle. but that doesn't change whether or not dubinsky is better suited for the wing in an 'ideal' situation...

and think long term...people have high hopes for AA and Stepan. stepan is a long long way away from being a #2 center in the nhl. but if those 2 work out then everything fits into place with dubi on the wing
