Honestly I would rather stick Pyorala on Carter's wing. We've rolled the exact same line combination for 4 or 5 games now and it's obviously working. I think Pyorala could fit well enough with Briere and Carter so that we don't have to break up the JVR-Powe-Laperriere line which has been playing so well. Let's get some continuity going.

It's not that we don't know what's going on or don't understand, it's that no one wants to see OKT and people are excited about Bourdon and Marshall. That should be pretty easy to understand.

Flyers defenseman Danny Syvret has a separated left shoulder and will miss a month.

“It’s a Grade III so, it’s significant,” said general manager Paul Holmgren.

Syvret was hurt when checked into the boards by Dallas’ Steve Ott, who was called for boarding, barely a minute into the game on Tuesday.

“I thought Danny put himself in an awkward position the way he turned,” Holmgren said. “He tried to get away from Steve Ott, who is a pretty good body checker by his own right. Quite frankly, I didn’t think it was a penalty.”
Quote:
Scott Hartnell missed practice. He was ill. Holmgren said some of the players are complaining of sinus and chest congestion. …Chris Pronger had a scheduled maintenance day off and did not practice. ...

He def needs to dress Thursday, TO sucks and no doubt Rosehill/Orr/Mayers will be looking for trouble and we need Riles to get speed bagged by Orr to keep the scrub off the ice. The last thing we need is that slug running Kimmo or Gags and injuring them. OKT/Carbomb/Lappy can handle the other 2.

Not this cat. I don't want Bourdon or Marshall anywhere near this team right now.

Hopefully we dress Cote so Orr has a punching bag to play with and not take it out on anyone good.

Sucks for Syvert, he was playing really well.

This is what CSN has for Parent...

http://www.csnphilly.com/pages/landi...546&feedID=695

Quote:
Ryan Parent says he feels “a lot better,” but is still about a week or so away from being cleared to play again.

Speaking publicly for the first time since before the New Year, the Flyers’ defenseman told CSNPhilly.com that he has been going through a comprehensive rehab program to strengthen his ailing back, and that he believes his injury will be solved in-season.

“When you have back issues, it’s something you can take care of,” Parent said after a 25-minute on-ice workout Wednesday at Skate Zone. “If you work it properly, it won’t be a problem again. Our goal is within a week or so. Obviously, we feel comfortable rehab is going to do the job.”

Whenever really. At the moment we cant count on him. He is injured wayyy to much. Injury prone at 22 is definitely not a sign of great things to come (healthy wise)

Why?

Why react to them dressing goons? Dress your regular team and do what you do to win hockey games. Don't respond to them gooning things up. Go, play your game, get the two points and focus on moving up in the standings, rather than having 1970's retro night because the Leafs suck and had their feathers ruffled.

If they want to goon it up, embarrass them on the scoreboard. The refs assigned to that game will be calling everything,s o if Orr or Rosehill does anything, they'll have plenty of PP time.

I wouldnt mind seeing Cote back against the Leafs. If theres any team right now we can afford have Cote in its the Leafs. Cote will also have a chance to show off his new hairdoo.

if cote plays tomorrow he'd spend more time in the penalty box than on the ice. hes not really worth dressing just for 2 minutes of ice time and a potential fight. he brings nothing else to the table.

Not only is dressing Cote basically making your bench short for an entire game, it affects the team's ability to roll four lines, which has been a key pillar in their recent success.

I still have no idea why he's on the team. He should be a Phantom.

Yeah I figured out later in the interview it was MacLean. He's probably lucky it was a phone interview because Hatsy should have punched him in the face if it were in person.

OT: Is that Kingsley from "Sexy Beast" in your avy? Love him in that movie.
