Good coffee shop in Philly

Hey,

I met a girl online and am looking for a good spot to meet up in Philly.

Preferably a nice cafe or coffee house close to a SEPTA stop.

Thanks.

Edit: Central Philly if possible, but anywhere really...

Club Risque or Show and Tell is what I'd go for

Starbucks?

There are more than a few random spots to if you do a citysearch and look around you'll find something.

Head to Paddy's Irish Pub. I'm sure someone there could point you into the right direction of a fantastic coffee shop. I heard from them that one of their waitresses is exceptional.

Personally I'm more of a fan of Cosi than Starbucks. Coffee may be comparable but more food options. For a first "date", Cosi has s'mores which would be a fun food to share (assuming things are going well).

I don't like either of their coffee, if I was choosing on that I would go for Dunkin Donuts. Did think of Cosi, but that place can be kind of noisy if you're there during lunch rush.

my favorite place to go when I lived in the city was The Bean Cafe on South Street it's between 7th and 6th. Really good coffee and amazing bagels that they get from a place that's off of 4th and south.

man i miss that place

You could always D.E.N.N.I.S. the girl, too.

Find a really nice restaurant that you know is closed...

**** Eulogy, Monk's Cafe in Rittenhouse.

Or, if you want to be down in Olde City, Beneluxx.

Beneluxx is a great date location.

You met her online? Are you sure you don't want a dark and dingy "coffee shop" far far away from a SEPTA stop?

I like Monk's as well (though how can you say '**** Eulogy'?), but what's Beneluxx?

I like Eulogy, but it's nothing epic. Good beer selection and bar food.
