All they're talking about here is Carcillo. I called The Fan and gave a bit of insight on the way he's played this year because everyone in Toronto thinks the way he acted at the winter classic and against the Laffs last week is the way he always is. Holy cow do people hate him! It sucks because they're judging him on 2 games. I really hope he doesn't do anything too over the top tonight, the bullhorns should stay in Philly and he needs to keep his emotions in check. Let theLaffs call up as many goons as they want, just don't get sucked in!

P.S. Bruins are at SJ
Thats amazing to me. You know the Pens are ******** their pants. The Casual fan would say they have had our number. But really we had the last series going our way till carcillo had to go win a fight and make Malkin feel bad. Plus the prospect of playing us over the Bruins has to hurt. And the fact that it seems like we the current best team in the NHL as a rule more than a streak as coaching seems to have made this team a potential top 5.

Even with the Leafs best effort we should win. They have a line of Orr-Mayers-Rosehill I want to get up quick and then a few fights just to get those scrubs off the ice so they don't goon it up with dirty plays vs our best players.
Oilers and Canes both have games in hand on the Leafs, the last thing they should be thinking is gooning it up. Boston must be loving watching them

unless cote is dressed (which he won't) no one will fight orr toe-to-toe. Let him jump someone and take extra instigator and misconduct penalties if he is so intent on it.

Apparently everything written on the internets is taken literally nowadays. I know who Orr is, and I know he's not small.

Agreed. Orr is legit scary.

Also, it's Jan 14th GKJ. Christmas was last month.

Maybe Leafs will hire Stevens if Wilson fired?

Edit: If it wasn't mentioned, Toskala will start for the Leafs.

Toskala is brutal! He hasn't played in a while, and Gustafson looks tired. Score fast and often, boys!

Sure they can. If they mouth off just 1 little sentence or do anything remotely questionable they will no doubt give them at least a 10 minute misconduct. This is the new nhl where rules can be made up on the fly you know that!

If Orr does take a run at a skill player you do what Carcillo told Kessel he will do if it happens. You run at Kessel or Kaberle. End of the story. Games like this almost always nothing every happens. The hype always is just that. Having Cote will not stop Orr or anyone else form doing what they want to do. People need to realize this fact.

Yea I agree with this, this won't be a cakewalk.
The Leaves stunk it up in their last outing with Philly, I doubt they will match that tonight.
We gotta pounce on em early and get the lead, that'll likely have their goons surface and they will break down.
Just don't go in overconfident now that we are in the playoff picture again boys
Much more work to be done

This should be an easy win if they play hard. A loss tonight means they got outworked by TORONTO's SKATERS. Which would be embarrassing.

However, the Flyers are 8-1-1 in their last 10, so they have to come back to earth soon. Hopefully not tonight though ...

Exactly, taking a run at Toskala would only make DownGoesBrown happy, you need to hit Kessel, Kaberle or Schenn. End of story.

We've won 4 in a row, they've lost 4 in a row. I got a bad feeling about this. 3 losses to good or hot teams and then a loss to the worst one in the league. If that doesn't light a fire under you nothing will.

Either way I can't wait for the Carcillo game tonight. I hope he really sticks it to those ********* fans.

I apologize in advance if the Flyers lose; I picked up Leighton for one night only, so I'm fully prepared for him to get shelled.

It's kind of hard to maintain that personal sense of urgency to play your balls off when your team is blasting everyone and you feel like they could probably win with out your A game. A loss tonight puts everyone's pedal to the metal this weekend. Of course they could always win both......

***EDIT*** And then I realize the Pens game sin't till next weekend. The perils of being a mush.
I would mind a loss tonight. Yes they are 8-1-1 in the last 10, but they are fighting for playoff position and the games in hand are pretty much gone. No excuses for a poor effort tonight. This is Toronto. There should not be any letdown.
No matter what happens tonight, I guarantee there will be no coming out flat against Washington. Remember what they did to us the last time we played them? they embarassed the Flyers. The Flyers will be ready for that one no matter what.
If those clowns up in Toronto want to goon it up fine. let em dress a line of worthless slugs and the Flyers will make em pay for the foolishness.

I have a feeling this game will remind many of the Flyers-Leaf wars we had before the lockout. However, the result will be the same, Flyers winning big. Can't wait.

This is a quote from OKT. If that's the case, the pairings will be undefined and based on matchups and game situations.

"I've been working hard off the ice but nothing is like game shape," Tollefsen said. "You have to be playing in games to get back in game shape. They probably won't put me out there for 20 minutes [tonight], but I've just got to get back in there and do my best."
