based on the status message here:

http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/player...?playerId=2967

looks like the fake brodeur is starting tonight.

I'm sure there'll be some confusion at MSG tonight when they announce brodeur is goaltending again...

Btw, what was the incident where richter got hurt by a shot? That was before my time.

Hopefully we don't make this guy look like the real Brodeur.

Maybe Torts is trying to save Voros' life.

Cause if he drops the mitts with Matt Carkner he is going to get stomped. Hard.

At least Brash can squeeze him for 30 seconds or so.

I'm not so sure about that anymore. I mean, Shawn "the beast" Thornton managed to take him down last Saturday.
He's looked pretty brutal in scraps ever since he got beat by Macintyre back in November.

The guy looks really uninterested way too often. He looked significantly better last season with the Caps.

He busted two guys orbtal bones in the last month. (Orr and Jackman). Orrs eye was a mess in their second fight.

I think it was the Tampa announcers that said during a game between The Bolts and Sens that Konopka said that he is the 'toughest dude in the league right now".

I wouldnt be surprised if the guy is tired/hurt. he had a TON of fights against pretty much every heavyweight at the beginning of the season and while he won a few, he lost quite a few too and they were ugly losses to the likes of Orr and Macintyre. I give the guy credit.

Yeah, Thornton is a feisty guy no doubt, but Brash had a pretty decent size-advantage on him and still struggled pretty bad.

^^ As hv87 said, he might play hurt/tired... I hope so, If not, sit his lazy ass down and let Lisin or Voros play.

He was talking about Brashear not Carkner. I thought he was talking about Carkner too, since he recently fought Thornton, but Carkner hasn't fought MacIntyre this year.

I didn't know that, thanks for posting. I know Carkner had a rep in the AHL as one of the heaviest punchers. He's been great ever since Orr beat him earlier this year, he really did a number on Orr in their rematch. Orr hasn't fought since, and that was in December.

The first page of cheap shots on Ottawa's top two lines is funny and all, but some seem to forget, the Rangers have a habit of making the 3rd and 4th liners of a team look like top20 forwards. We should be slightly concerned. This is probably the deadliest squad we have faced yet this season. Good luck Hank, and Godspeed.

Let's go Rangers!

Someone said it before, another special night from Gaborik has got to be coming up soon.

Even though hes still been getting points consistently, hes tapered off a bit in his play. He almost had a huge one against the Devils and I think sooner rather than later hes going to have a big game or a big stretch of games.

He broke the game in Washington to start off the year, and then he had a very good stretch where he had 8 goals in 7 games in November with 3 2-goal games in that span. Since then he hasnt had a 2 goal game and has been getting a lot of attention from other teams. All it takes from him is one play to spark him off on another run.

I'm hoping tonight is that night, but if it isnt I dont think its too far ahead.

LGR

This feels like one of those games where they should win and won't... they'll come out flat and lose by 2 or something stupid.

LETS GO RANGERS! Less than 2 points would be a disappointment against this team.
