A guy 6'8 has to throw 2 sucker punches...what a *****. The way that moron has played against us the past few years cheapshotting Blues players, I have no idea why Janssen wasn't dressed. Kariya is useless and shouldnt be dressed until he can get his head out of his ass.
The Blues should have gotten a goal or two in the first 2 periods, but 2 points is 2 points. Nice to see them be able to gut out the win. Minnesota has been playing very well of late, so this is a quality win.
The Rangers are going to come in Saturday following back to back shutout losses. Should be an intense game. I think Mason gets the start again.
Yes, Oshie slewfooted Ebbett. But you can see him losing his balance and wrapped his arms around Ebbett. Illegal? Yes. But he didn't do it purposefully.
But you can't deny that what Boogaard did was crap. Has the ref in between them, and still throwing punches was cheap.

Reason: qdp, don't mod
Your opinion is valid. If I remember the play correctly Oshie and Ebbett both had each other tied up with Oshie's skate behind Ebbitts. Only Oshie knows if he slew footed him purposefully or was a result of both of them falling. he got his penalty i believe. Boogard is a disgrace to Hockey. If you're that big and you need to throw sucker punches and cheap shots then you are nothing more than a worthless 13itch. Be a man for gosh sakes. He knows Jansson didnt dress, so he could run around with no repercussions. He has a history of repeated attempts to injure Blues players (mcKee twice i believe) so whatever your team gets....they have it coming to them for dressing that moron.

Either way Blues 1 Wild 0, I really like how we have been blocking key shots but we still need to be better in the shooting percentage department. It was an unintentional slew foot, things happens. It wasnt a sucker punch to a guy who didnt even make that hit.
The 2 minute penalty seems consistent with this call. I think this is a non-issue and a lot of hot air.
(Kaleta SHOULD have been suspended for the elbow on Kariya, especially after doing this in the same game. Not a very good defense that it was "an accident".)
Looked to me that it was accidental. At the very most it was Oshie going too fast and the Minnesota player going too slow and, with incidental contact, one was bound to end up on his ass. Since he fell on Oshie, both fell down. Nothing more, nothing less.
Weird, I went to check out what Minnesota fans were saying and I didn't even find a gameday thread at all...the day after the game.
I've been on theirs before to see what Minnesota fans say when their playing the Blues or when something happens with their team in a game and they never have a gameday thread. I've never seen one once on their boards.
