mark recchi

who would have thought that at the age of 42 that he would be playing 1st line center for a good bruins team halfway through the year? with savard, krecji, and bergeron all injured the bruins were forced to go with recchi on the top line and needless to say he no longer has the skill of our top 3 centers but he shows amazing effort night in and out playing 21 minutes last night against the sharks.

its nice to see that some players can actually play when over the age of 40

Recchi has lost a lot of his skills, but he has great offensive sense, and knows how to go to the net. Since the lockout, really, he has not been a great scorer but has been the classic complementary 1st line player.

Good for him. And he's making me look like a genius in my hockey pool.

I had really hoped the Canucks would target him at the deadline last year. Great veteran guy, still plays at a good level, tons of experience, leadership and Cup experience. From BC to boot, glad to see he's still doing so well.

He has been up and down for the Bruins this year IMO. It was a good signing because he has experience and is ungodly and deflecting pucks. Sometimes he looks a bit old though but with the Olympic break coming up, it was a good idea for him to play one more year.

Recchi is playing 1st line center? Things are dire indeed.

Gotta love Recchi.
Talk about being motivated. At that age, he's prolly training twice as hard as a 20-25 year old player.
