In all fairness, I interviewed him on December 28.

Really?

Lombardi seems to do a slew of interviews in a short period of time, and then no one will hear from him for a month or two, then he'll do another round with everyone. He is hardly talking to the media every day.

Dean Lombardi reports are usually months in between which exception of his appearances by request on HNIC radio etc... But when he talks to the media he usually does it in bunches, hits everyone up, and then backs off for a few more months or so. We just have awesome media sources for our team Rich Hammond and Gann Matsuda do an awesome job of getting information to us lowly fans.

Again, in all fairness, it's not like Lombardi plans on when he's going to do interviews. I can't speak for Rich Hammond, but I decide when to put in a request to interview him. He doesn't call and say, "Hey Gann...how about interviewing me tomorrow," nor does the Kings Communications suggest interviews with him.

It was mere coincidence that Rich interviewed him not long after I did. I never discussed interviewing Lombardi with Rich.

My talks with Lombardi might become more frequent. When I interviewed him last, I had a list of 25 questions, taking up 2 1/2 pages. He saw that and said, "holy smoke!" He then suggested talking to him once a month so that I don't have as many questions and we can discuss things in more depth. Very cool. I doubt I'd want to talk to him THAT often...maybe every two months...

Very cool. Thanks for the insight and correction. Keep the questions rolling and the good work coming

[Kopitar] and Doughty—they’re only in average shape,” Lombardi lamented. “They went from being our [least] conditioned guys this year to average. So there’s a little bit of that in there, too. So for [Kopitar], you want to go to the top of the league in scoring and they’re going to come after you now? Now you’re going to learn that, next summer, you’d better be the top conditioned guy.”
Doughty is only in "average" shape?

Wow. I wonder what he would be like in "good" shape.
