Pred Rally getting big

Quote:
"I don't think many people have an understanding of just how close this community is with their hockey team" says local hockey fan Tessa Swartz "I think most of the hockey fans around the country think that hockey just belongs in the Northeast or in Michigan or Minnesota, we are here to prove those people wrong!"

Good luck down there.

i wouldn't be surprised to see that this thing is pretty big. the team itself got word and is endorsing it, and it's been on the news and whatnot. should be interesting.

I do too. I kind of hate to drive downtown for a rally but I will just to show support for the organizers.

When is it? I heard it was on Sunday, but that article says New Years Day doesn't it?

Great rally. Good turn-out (much better than I had expected). Lots of the media there.

Gnash, Pete Weber, Miranda (in a mini-skirt), and Gary Helper were there.

I saw several interviews being conducted.

A lot of people were saying that no one would show. The crowd may have been small but we were LOUD and PROUD.

I was pleased at the turn-out......I expected maybe 20.

I think the success for this was not measured in the number of the fans who turned out but more the media coverage the event received. Judging by that, it was an overwhelming success.....all the news outlets (TV & major newspapers) covered the event.

There were some "so-called fans" who stayed home and watched the UT bowl game (and you know who I'm talking about).... :bonk:
