Yeah I like the nfl so much that I wish that the habs would hire a college offensive or defensive coordinator to their coaching staff. I think it could be a good idea to explore out of the box ideas. Anyways, I saw your j.e.t.s.s.s.s. and I really hope that they beat that Rivers jerk... god I hate that guy.

I feel you. Once last year in Mexico I was in the sack and my computer was running a MTL-BUF stream, with the sound at mute, of course... ah sports fans ! But really, what a shoutout, that NO-AZ game !

Ouch. I love the wildcat, but normally I root against all those teams, especially the Patriots, which for some reason Québecers think that it is their team... at least the rds commentators, which are even worse than Brunet and Cie... hehehe but the Chargers will be hot with all their NBA receivers against the Jets. I hope that Rex Ryan has an answer. He said that his team should be considered favourite. His logics is that he has the NJ Devils of football. Best Running game + Best defence. Let's hope he's right.

Leafs aren't playing tonight. It's the only reason Ottawa and Montréal is the prime game.

I find it surprising. Ottawa Montréal should get prime time if there's a game like Toronto vs Atlanta. Oh well, I never understood Canada anyways...

Hmm..I wonder if CBC's HD feed will actually be decent tonight, considering Habs/Ottawa is the main game. Usually the Leafs broadcasts are alright.

They pretty much only care about the national game it seems.

Rex Ryan always talks ****. God I hate the Jets with a passion! At least the Fins swept them.

The Leafs draw a larger TV audience in Canada than the Habs?

Includes very good secondary. For example- Revis. This is going to be a great game.

Still. If we were talking about private tv I'd understand. But public tv ? It strikes me as mini Paris wannabees. You know the type of centralizing thing that I despise. Anyways, je ne vais pas vous tirer la pipe, that's not fair. And that's not the place. Have a good game.

You mean on english cbc? When RDS figures are taken into account with cbc english coverage of Habs games I suspect the Habs would draw the larger audience.

A lot of Montréal fans would watch the game on RDS and Ottawa isn't a really popular team. (For Canadian teams) So, a small percentage of habs fans and Ottawa fans (so will be watching on RDS too) VS the majority of Leaf fans watching the game.

sure but if you add TSN and TSN2 and Leafs TV maybe and the score and sportsnet maybe the numbers get higher for the Leafs. Don't get me wrong I wish I could see more Habs games in HD in TSN or CBC?

ok guys, do the habs win by 2 or more tonight?

Last game of my parlay, if they do, I win !!

I can hedge my bet to guarantee no loss or make a smaller profit... not sure what to do

i'd argue but ottawa is technically the smallest market in the NHL.

You cant do that, because you never have a game simulcast on all those networks.

A national habs game will be broadcast on both CBC and RDS. I'd bet the ratings on those two networks combined would trump the ratings of a leafs game broadcast only on CBC. On the other hand, because RDS is ctvcanwest owned, the ad revenue is split, vs when there is a national Leafs game CBC gets all the ad revenue.

The argument that gets thrown around every year is that: do the leafs draw more on CBC because they are played more or are they played more because they draw more on CBC? Its a good question, and since historically games like the one tonight tend to do very well on CBC, i'd say that it's the former.
