A small, ineffective top 6 along the boards, especially now that Andrei is injured and a terrible bottom 6 that doesn't prove much energy.

We suck against any physical, big team.

Nothing new under the sun. It's like that since at least a decade.

dead weight is the key word here
laraque, dago, spacek, mara, mab and maybe gill are all dead weight or dnt belong in the nhl
the only person i would have to disagree with would be Lapierre, in the right role he could be very useful, meaning not on the 2nd line as a wing and not on the 4th line centering laraque and Mab, he should be on the 3rd line with skost when he comes back and like metro/moen and then well have an energy line i hope

also...MA Godin is reporting that obyrne and skost were the only 2 at the morning skate at msg
mean anything?....i would love to see them both play over laraque and either mab(clearly not helping our pp right now) or mara

It doesn't mean much. Those two players were not in the line up yesterday noite. The others are resting for tonite's game.

Hopefully, they will replace two other unproductive players in a near future.

Y'all make me laugh about the deadweight thing...Every team in the NHL has deadweight and some of the guys you've named there are still useful to the team...Where would we find better? In the AHL? Making a less than probable trade in which the other team gets fleeced and we get what we want?

What I see on this team is a clear lack of cohesion and synchronisation...and that's been going on for over a year now...Most of the time when we try to get the puck out of the zone we choose the dumbest play and we over-complicate the task. And on the offense we play a boring uncreative game and the only line who seems to create something is Gomez's line, because they control the puck and when they enter the zone instead of going in a linear pattern they switch places i.e: Gomez rushing the puck on the right wing, enters the zone cuts to the middle passes to Gionta who is on the right wing now. Creates way more space.

We play like freakin boneheads out there and when things aren't going well offensively and we can't seem to create anything, we dump and chase and 98% of the time we never touch the puck.

Srsly, I'm tired of this **** that has been going down since last year.

NY Rangers and Montreal have the same problem. Good to great goaltending, terrible offence, soft, slow d-men and a lot of dead weight.

Like no one saw that coming...

I wish this game was a afternoon or early start...Unfortunately the Habs will have to take a backseat to 24 tonight....

I have a bad feeling we're going to lose. Unless Lundvqist has a bad night....and Cammy lights him again like last time.

Anyone know what hotel the Habs usually stay at when they have a game at MSG? Buddy on mine is going to the game tonight and wants to see them, if only to snap some pics while they load onto the bus.

Thanks

In some way, I hope Halak gets lit up, so we can see that goaltending isn't the problem here. It's everything else.
Wow dude. Crud like that just reminds me of the Ryder fanboys who were only interested in him and wished the team would lose to make their point. Hab fan my arse kiddo.

We finally play an offense worse than ours.

The only problem is we face Lundqvist.

Hopefully Gomez has a big game in his return to MSG.

Well actually the only win Halak has against a team holding a playoff spot is the 5-4 OT Cammalleri hat trick one at the beginning of the season.
But yes, we lost yesterday, so the team will finally play decent today and we'll win this one, Halak fans will roar on this board and RDS talkbacks and Bob Hartley will come out saying he saw Price quit the ice 8.456 seconds before Halak during the morning skate and that is totally inappropriate, so he'll suggest trading him and the Kostitsyn's for Martin Biron.

I'll pray that Cammy can light up Lundqvist again.....but he's been playing lights-out for them.

I think this will be a boring game. Both teams struggle to score and both have a lot of dead-weight on their team.

Edit: Halak's career save % against New York is bad. This might be a high-scoring game tonight.......
