A majority of the most productive offensive d-men use accurate wristers in place of a big slapper. Kaberle, Campbell, Green, Boyle, etc; all perennially among the league leaders on the blue line and none of them have a huge shot.

I think people saying Bobby Sangs should get traded will eat their words in a couple of years. The kid is going to be good and the extra seasoning in the AHL will help him in the long run.

Hmm... not sure about that. I just don't know if he will ever get a shot here. Next season he's going to be fighting for a spot against Heikkinen, McDonagh and probably Sauer. Unless there are two spots open I have a feeling McDonagh will win that spot
Every time I read about Sangs I get more and more confused. I always thought he was a shoot-first type of dman based on his 29 goals season in the OHL, but then I hear he has a weak shot. For him to win fastest skater is weird, is this guy like MDZ in that he rushes the puck up and runs the powerplay with his playmaking? Every time I get the chance to see him play on the Rangers or preseason he solely focuses on defense, and never showcases his talents.

How can he miss the net if the shot never makes it there in the first place? lol
It's a cause for celebration when one of Girardi's shots isn't blocked... he is the polar opposite of Rozy: firing away regardless of whether he has a clear shooting lane, while Rozy plays pattycake with the puck when he should shoot.
