I'm asking because I might take him in a hockey pool.
For a hockey pool, I would consider him a risky pick because he might be the one caught up in the numbers game. He might be on one of the top lines, but he could get bumped to lesser duty once the future of Ottawa's seven or so centres is decided. If you can get him cheap, fine. If you have to assume he will put up big numbers to take him where he is available, I'd take a pass.
I'm not sure where he'll end up, although O.D.'s point about him playing with Alfie for "the moment" is probably a fair observation.
The big concern pool-wise is PP time. With Spezza and Smoke here, I'm not sure how much 2nd unit PP time he'll get. With Havlat out, he'll probably still be on the 2nd unit, but Havlat's return will probably mean Spezza will drop to the 2nd unit and that might push off the unit altogether at times (although that's just a guess - the 2nd pp unit is kind of up in the air because there are so many options).
Some risk to him. I'd bet for between 40-50 points.
