A streaky scorer with injury problems who hasn't thrown a hit since 1998. Exactly what the Canadiens are missing.

Pfft, c'mon man don't exaggerate. By the way, I think I saw him throw a hit in 2000.

His stats, for what its worth

http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/p....php?pid=10760

677 points in 935 NHL games

Better than Dags, and would plug a hole...

Unless you feel that the Habs may as well finish low at this point

Yea, pretty good. I wouldn't mind grabbing him. I think someone will claim him before us though.

Honestly though, I think Sykora is finished.

I say give Trotter a chance. He's produced in the USHL, NCAA and now the AHL. Worth a shot.

at 750,000?

all you need to do is loook down our roster at the number of player who havent SCORED in the last 25-35 games

now thats what is hurting us .

Sykora isnt my first choice/BUT any offense he can give us is better than what some of these guys are given us now .

That's pretty sudden then, because he is coming off 10 straight seasons of 21+ goals. Twice 34-35 goals. He had 25 last year, and 25 the average of the last three years.

He's worth trying with Pleks and Cammy, certainly ahead of Pacioretty and D'Agostini.

I would do it if he's over whatever injuries he's had. We have tons of cap space for the rest of the year because of all the injuries. That said, if it's true that he's finished, well then forget it.

Why not?

Play him with Gomez and Gionta on the all ex-Devil line.

That's an interesting idea.

He could work out on the top 6,right now we don't have anyone that could take that spot so it wouldn't be that bad of an idea

He used to be a decent player but for some reason he's sucked this year...might be worth a look. For what he makes in salary not a big gamble...and we have AK out another month.

I think he should be picked up. He can help our line up. Either on the third line or top 6.

Seriously guys... This guy can score ! Always find a way to put at least a 20 goals season . At 750,000 he is worth a shot.

Or, you know, not making the kind of "we lost 2 games, blow it up!" panic moves that everyone here would make if they were GM.

As far as I can tell the Canadiens have been involved in 2 of the 6 trades made this season (plus the Leach waiver claim) and people still act like Gainey's always sitting on his hands? Come on...
