Yeah, I guess Cammy standing up for his teammate and getting injured clearly shows that he's sulking and wasn't a team guy.

Pathetic!!!
Anyone that doubts Gann's objectivity or his ability as a member of the media dosn't know anything about Gann or his work. Whether your tirade against Gann was meant o be "funny" or "cool", you failed at both. People think that just because message boards are anonymous, it gives them carte blanche to be rude and obnoxious. You have lost serious credibility in my eyes.

Frolov does not deserve a raise. If he asks for one, let him walk.

Um sir? Do you work for the Ottawa Senators?
Only guy IMO that I would want is Jason Spezza. And possibly Anton Volchenkov.

Frolov has been playing well, especially lately. The points will come.

Well this article's better than anything else I've read by HF affiliates. But I can provide some constructive criticism.

It did feel a little forced. The first couple of paragraphs seemed like you were haphazardly mashing his HockeyDB profile in with his TSN scouting report. It comes off as a little clumsy.

The rest is great, though. If I were a Kings fan I'd start reading your blog.

What the hell? Gann is far from a DL puppet, a Kings puppet or any puppet for that matter. He writes what he wants when he wants.

I fail to see how any of his interviews, stories, etc lack objectivity.

Hey, if you and Gann want to portray Cammy as the cancer of the team go right ahead, you guys have the right to your opinion.

I hope you don't mind if I exercise the same right on the opposite end of the spectrum.

understandable as understandable can be as any deviation from the original topic can get.

no one is really allowed to post hearsay so it is virtually impossible to corroborate any of Gann's assertions in accordance to the rules of the forum.

that said, people HAVE heard things that jive.

neither Dean Lombardi OR Michael Cammalleri were angels here.

... Exactly. And what I would like to see is both sides held accountable, and not just one.

My problem wasnt your opinion. I never said anything about my opinion of Cammy. Your attitude towards a quality media person who saw it all unfold first hand. I just wanted you to know that your tough guy attitude didnt impress me. Just my opinion but I would believe Gann over you every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

I dont want the thread on Gann's article to lock so I am done with the conversation about this. I have said my peace.

I'll go with what I've read from Gann's posts. And from what I've read so far, I haven't seen the "quality media" that you speak of.

As for me being a "tough guy", I don't know where you're getting this from. I'm really not familiar with you or your posts so, I'm guessing you're not very familiar with mine. If anything, I'm more of a joker and a goof than anything. But then again, I do have very strong opinions on certain topics...

It does lack creativity though. Did you learn anything new about Frolov from the article? "What? Frolov's not a 50- or even a 40-goal scorer?!!! News to me."

Gann's blog reminds me a lot of Sarah Morris's writing for the Dodgers.

Observe:
Quote:
Since the 2002-03 season, winger Alexander Frolov has been a top six forward for the Los Angeles Kings. A highly-skilled player, Frolov has a definite scoring touch, good hands, and he can pass the puck as well as anyone. The 27-year-old native of Moscow, Russia is also strong along the boards and in the corners and has an uncanny ability to protect the puck once he gets it.

The 6-3, 208-pound winger, who was selected by the Kings in the first round (twentieth overall) in the 2000 National Hockey League Entry Draft, had his best seasons in 2006-07 (35 goals, 36 assists for 71 points) and 2008-09 (32 goals, 27 assists for 59 points). In his six seasons in the NHL prior to the 2009-10 season, Frolov has scored twenty or more goal in each season, except for the 2002-03 season (fourteen goals), his rookie year.

Frolov has displayed flashes of brilliance, but has been an enigma throughout his career because it is evident that he is capable of reaching another level, but does not seem to have the mental makeup to play at that level, night in and night out.
Nothing new there.

I can't place all the blame on Gann, since half of the blogpost was him quoting Lombardi.

I just didn't feel like any of it was newsworthy or blogworthy. Flame away.

You just said it...it was rather trivial, meaning that it was relatively unimportant.
