do new jersey fans think this guy would be a good fit in montreal. laraque gone an open spot unless they bring up more youth. the guy has size at 6'2 215lbs, maybe something montreal could use to spark some offense on our bottom 6 of the lineup.
probably won't pick this guy up, just wonder if he would be a good fit with us. he is still only 28 years old.
There isn't much time left in the season there, so I say Lowell. Next season, likely Finland. Besides he is just a couple of lower body and upper body injuries to NJ players away from coming back. The only other forward I can see getting called up from Lowell is Sestito...maybe Walter.
Should have been Peters instead, but I'm hoping he's next.
Pikkarainen has said he will report to Lowell if he clears waivers. Because of the risk of losing him through re-entry waivers, I don't see him coming back to the NHL this season if he clears.
He was advertised as being an Esa Tikkanen type with less skill. He was in no way that. He wasnt mean nor nasty and didnt agitate anyone. The only goal he scored came off a Carey Price gaffe. He cant pass, has zero hockey sense and his shot is inaccurate like a mother****er.
On the good side he tries hard and is good on the puck. Does throw a few hits now and then and isnt awful in his own end. Has average speed.

I remember that, too. The first time I saw him play, I thought, "THIS is the new Esa...?"
He's just not a NHL player -- this much is obvious.

I liked Pik, I thought he played well when he was played. I wish this was Peters, I'm gunna be really angry if Peters stays with the team until the end of his contract. There is nothing at all that AP does that other guys on the devils couldnt do 100x better (its not like he is a great fighter at all). Wish Pik would have stayed and Peters be sent away. I dunno, he had flashes of brilliance. I was a big fan of Pikkarainen back in 2004 when he first busted into Devils camp, but he never broke into the lineup. He's not a bad 4th liner, there are just better guys out there.
