i dont care if they score 6 or 8 goals again i just want to see the same style of play we've seen the last two games. the tough team to play against that is hard on the puck, and hard to play against. the team that sticks up for one another and works for everything like they have the last two games.. thats the type of rangers hockey i want to see tonight and on a consistent basis

This has letdown written all over it, but I'm still too hyped about our last two games to care!

I dunno - the Rangers have been pretty feisty lately. I don't think tonight will be different in that regard. Bet it gets ugly.

from your keyboard to god's eyes.

Watching this team play the last 2 games (goals aside) was enjoyable.

I want to believe that they have the cajones to continue that, but it's got to start from the drop of the first puck until the final buzzer.

Start the 4th line again and let them set the tempo. Continue to push the pace. This is a very important game against a team that is chasing us for a PO spot. Time to set some distance here.

LGR

I just hope they can keep up the physical play against an actual physical team. Montreal's one of the softest teams in the league, and then Lightning rolled over and died after the first few goals. Philly's going to bring it, we need to be ready to not back down

Unlike the last two games the Rangers are physically outmatched and facing an opponent with more skill.
This is going to be really interesting.

For years now i've been hearing we're 'physcally outmatched' against Philly, and for the most part it hasn't mattered.

Now having said that, we'll get beat to a pulp tonight

I'm pretty sure Zaba was exchanged for Johnson, and is the backup, tonight.

To me the Rangers seem to back off and stop forechecking when they start getting hit by bigger teams.
They also have a lot of trouble going to the net and finding those "garbage goals" (hasn't been the case the past two games, hence the outburst of goal scoring).
That recent game against St Louis was a perfect example of that size/skill balance that the Rangers seem to struggle against.

The problem with Philly is even putting physical intimidation aside, they have all that offensive firepower and I don't see the Rangers going toe to toe with them in that department either.

I'd love to be proven wrong tonight.

Nick, they proved you wrong a little over a month ago when we went into Philly and beat them 2-1

Believe !
