We need to change the trend of only winning against the Rags at MSG and not at home. Strong effort tonight boys.

Because winning in OT is still about winning a hockey game.

Agreed. I'm going to see the Rangers play the Flyers in April in Philly like I have done every year for the past whenever and seen them lose.

I have to miss the game tonight because of the start of classes here in Phoenix. I am really banking on a win tonight. I want to hear about physical, east coast Atlantic division hockey. And goals by the grinders.

And a win!

Regards,
Rick

I have a feeling we'll see a great game win or lose. Lavi seems to have the discipline thing down finally, although I'm a little concerned about OKT since he hadn't been playing with the team. Tight, playoff-style pace with decent scoring and (unfortunately) not particularly mean or physical. I won't complain though if they can pull out a win - the rags seem to have turned things around.

The point system is ridiculous. No game ends in a tie now. You either win a game or you lose it. The OTL's keep more teams in the playoffs for longer.

You suck at shootouts you say? Oh well, you should have won the game before it got to the shootout.

That is exactly why it exists... the more teams in the playoff race come late in the season, the better it is league wide for interest....

What are you concerned about? He has played 3 games since he returned and hasn't spent a second in the penalty box. Instead he has been sending opponent players to the box and provided a couple of PPs for us.

But discipline has been too tight, and Laviolette has uncuffed OKT who was back to his good physical game against the Jackets. That should continue tonight.

Regardless, GO Flyers!

Beautiful, thx for the notice MSE.

I'd be quite dissapointed without 2 pts tonight, too many teams in the race now, if we don't start winning the majority of our games from now on, it won't look good.

in the standings. so, yes, this isn't women's college basketball.

the level of play isn't mediocre, just because there aren't a bunch of truly excellent teams and a bunch of truly awful teams.

It's supposed to be the 8 best teams, not the 8 luckiest.

Anyone just catch Prongers interview on MSG? His comments on Richards were pretty interesting and said he was in the same position when he was captain on the blues.

I had the impression that it was always something more like the 4 best teams, the 2 hottest teams, and the 2 luckiest teams (southeast division, anyone?).

I don't know. All the teams know the rules. Doesn't seem to be about luck when there are some clearly distinguishable patterns.
