Horc can at least win a faceoff. Takes less dumb penalties. But you still can't polish a turd.

I thought Horcoff actually played a pretty decent game tonight--was skating well, made a couple of good defensive plays, had a good scoring chance, which he blew...
I still think he has it in him to make his contract somewhat palatable. Maybe not 5.5M good, but if he returns to 50-60 point form next season while playing good in own end, that contract would not look as bad as it does now.

yah he played a good game tonight...the hole team for the most part played a solid game...i like to be optomistic too but i jsut dont see horc "returning" to a 50-60 hes only broke 50 points couple times in his career n hes gettin older so i dont see him all of a sudden turning into a consisten 50 point getter... i hope so tho

Horc isnt a bad player, hes just waaaay overpaid and because of that people compare him to much better players. Horc is a very good 3rd line checking C.

And yeah, Horc is better than Moreau, by far.

Yes you can polish a turd. Why would you present false information like that.

Is it safe to say that Horcoff has some hockey left in him and Moreau looks like he should hang up the skates?

Horcoff, Moreau, and Pisani all played well against Vancouver. They were sent out to shy down the Sedin/Burrows line, and succeeded. It would have been mission accomplished for them, Except the PK wasn't as good as it could have been.

I hope that line sticks together and matches up against other top lines in the future. I thought our team performed a lot better tonight, when Quinn actuall gave players defined roles, instead of just rolling 4 lines. Quinn has finally clued in (MacT never did) that not all of our players are skilled enough for this team to simply roll lines. Quinn is finally doing more than just opening the door for players, and it's nice to see.

-JH.

Horcoff is overpaid but is still effective.. Moreau is finished. Pisani is somewhere in the middle of the 2..

On a line together they looked decent last game.
