C'mon now, he's not that hard to find. Word is he makes weekly appearances at the bank....to cash his check.

Me, too! If you look closely enough, just over Arnott's shoulder, you can almost make out the "26" on his arm.

But wait! Says statistics! Sullivan as 8 points in his last ten games. Arnott has 5 in his past ten. Sullivan also has three games in a row with an assist. If I am not mistaken, all of them have been assists to Hornqvist.

Sullivan also has one goal in the last 15 games. Actually, make that 16.

Assists are nice, but they don't win you hockey games. We need to quit relying on Hörnqvist to finish everything off for us. If Sully and Arnott would quit trying that stupid home run pass I've seen them screw up 20 times this year, they might actually score some goals.

Hörnqvist is bound to go cold at some point this year, and when he does, our paddle gets eaten by piranhas.

Patric Hornqvist is the 8th best forward in the league

Zach Parise
Alex Ovechkin
Nik Antropov
Nick Foligno
Marian Gaborik
Josh Bailey
Jussi Jokinen
Patric Hornqvist

Crosby? Kovy? Your list is flawed.

True, but Arnott has been really invisible. At least sullivan tries. I can't say I think the same about Arnott. I wish we could ship Arnott and Hamhuis out at the deadline and bring in hard working talent.

I would commend Sullivan for effort without results if he were a third line forward who wasn't making as much money as one-fourth of our roster combined.

Sullivan still has the talent to score 20-25 goals, but we need to get him going now more than ever if we want to stay afloat in the West. In the latter respect, this is a huge game for us tonight.

yes it is a sad state of affairs when your team is behind and you are on the edge of your seat waiting for Goc or Jones to bang one home and get you back into the game.

It literally occured to me last night that I was doing that. I thought, "hey what a minute, shouldnt the 25 million dollars worth of players on our top 2 lines be doing something." I dont even watch for them anymore.

You realize you're not actually using the Corsi ratings, right? You're using the Behindthenet rating, which is more of an advanced type of plus-minus. Bouillon has the team's worst Corsi rating on defense, and Belak overall. Hörnqvist does have the team's best Corsi rating, but it's 22nd among NHL forwards with more than 40 games played, not 8th.

I agree that Klein is lousy and Hörnqvist has been excellent, but you're using the wrong statistics to prove your point.

woops ... you're right, Bouillon is the worst in the league playing at least 40 games ... Klein is right behind Bouwmeester

Unless the Avs come out super flat I just dont see how we win this one either. Nobody outside of Hornqvist is stepping up right now.

We lose 2 games and everyone is all doom and gloom? Please don't turn HF into np boards.

We're trying not to get our hopes up. Perhaps that'll mean a win. Who knows? I guess it's up to Horny to score 5 goals tonight.

A good start is gonna be crucial for the Preds tonight...Avs coming off a long layoff and featuring a relatively young team will have plenty of energy, while the Preds are on the second half of a back-to-back.

The Preds cannot afford to play from behind tonight...
