Since this board has it's very own orthopedic hand surgeon, he can probably give us a great idea as to when to expect Uppie back and what to expect in regards to a prognosis...............Oh, Handtrick, where are you??

Was this a re-injure of his thumb? Didn't he injure it last year, too (or was that someone else)?

Or was this a new injury this year?

you are right Predperson, he had injuries to his knee and wrist last year, his thumb, this year, was something new.

I hope that he can get out of this slump of injury. He has alot of potential, but not much injured. Brian Finley seems to have done it, although it took a while. For goalies it is alright because they should NOT be brought in to goaltend in the NHL before they are 22 I feel. Forwards are different, Upshall could be in there this season without injury.
