Any doubt about the Smith era of drafting over? Bolland and Sindel could be the steals of the draft

May 19, 2004 - Signed coach Brian Sutter to a contract extension.

I would rather have Brent as the coach

Promoted Bruce Cassidy from scout to assistant coach.

Fired assistant coach Al MacAdam.

toold schoool for some of the younger playersRetained assistant coach Denis Savard

March 9, 2004 - Traded defenseman Alexander Karpovtsev to the New York Islanders in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2005 Entry Draft.

How the hell did they get a 4th rounder for him!!!

March 2, 2004 - Traded defenseman Nathan Dempsey to the Los Angeles Kings for a 2005 fourth-round draft pick and future considerations.

Loading up on mid round draft picks

Traded right wing Ty Jones to the Florida Panthers in exchange for future consideratio

sad waste of talent

February 24, 2004 - Traded left wing Ville Nieminen to the Calgary Flames for right wing Jason Morgan and a conditional draft pick. Claimed right wing Eric Nickulas off waivers from the St. Louis Blues

What the hell got into Nieminen is Calgary!!!!!??????if he played like that with the hawks they would have made the playoffs

February 19, 2004 - Traded center Alexei Zhamnov and a 2004 fourth-round draft pick to the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for defenseman Jim Vandermeer, a 2004 second-round draft pick and the rights to center Colin Fraser

Lets face facts--AZ was getting ridden out of town--never should have been made captian and wastes his talent--also--look may--more drafts picks

February 16, 2004 - Traded right wing Steve Sullivan to the Nashville Predators for 2004 and 2005 second-round draft picks.

This trade hurts--I still say they could have gotten a first round draft pick for him from Nashville or Edmonton--tade done because Sullivan was the player rep

November 17 - Acquired defenseman Stephane Robidas and a second-round pick in the 2004 draft from the Dallas Stars for defenseman Jon Klemm and a fourth-round pick in the 2004 draft.

The fact that Klemm was the number 1 dman in Chicago for awhile is a sad statement

November 5 - Named Bob Pulford general manager.

Named Dale Tallon assistant general manager. Fired director of player evaluation Marshall Johnston, assistant general manager Nick Beverley and director of amateur scouting Bill Lesuk

The more things change-the more they stay the same

October 24 - Fired general manager Mike Smith.

Some still do the happy dance

October 7 - Waived right wing Igor Korolev

see October 24th

Jocelyn Thibault is a number one goalie in this league. Give him a halfway decent backup and dont ride him to hard and he's sensational.

The guy was an all star in his last full season playing for a crap team. Give him a decent back up and an NHL blueline and he can easily be a top 10 guy in the league.

and it is just too bad that he is injury prone, over paid and wilts when the pressure is on

What pressure? He's only injury prone because we ride him unmercifully. He makes a few million. For an all-star goalie thats a bargain. I was glad to see Nemo and his stupid penalties leave. Only player I didn't like leaving was Sullivan.
