Insatisfait de son rendement depuis le début de la saison, l’organisation en avait vraisemblablement marre du joueur de deuxième année qui tarde à éclore.
Regardless of the lack of professionalism or writting skills found in this RDS article, this move was long overdue. Pacioretty still doesn't get it. He's been going through the motions for way too long and has been looking less and less like an NHL player as the season progressed. Hopefully Boucher can put him back on the right track. I still believe.
Probably for the best. I thought he played a decently solid 12 mins last night, but with the top 6 (mostly the Gomez line... three cheers for Pouliot, btw) clicking right now with some consistency it might be good timing. They've got to be decently happy with how his game is rounding out, but maybe right now they don't need him in the lineup struggling to provide offense that just isn't there yet. Fully expect he'll be back for the playoffs at the latest (should the Habs somehow hold onto a spot).

I'd like Boucher to work with Price next few games. Price needs to get back where he once was. He has much more talent than shown in last season and half. With Halak hot right now can't see Price getting much action in next few games. He needs to play. Plus, give us a chance to see what we have in Desjardins at NHL level also. Before deciding on trade of either Halak or Price. Which will occur either at the deadline or over the summer.
As far as the news, well better late than never. But geez, that was way too late....
Can't wait for the ones who laughed at the ones who wanted a demotion a while ago to come and eat some crow now. Not expecting it though.
It's for the best.
Now memo to the ones who'll be calling him a bust if he's scoreless for the first 3 games....while it's for the best, as of now, it's a total blow to what he would have liked for himself. DO NOT PANIC if it's pretty calm on the scoresheet. But he will eventually pick it up. And chances are that some people will notice his shot, his passing game and vision. Then, they'll understand that it's his quickness in all aspects of the game that he needs to improve. And some other things as well. Let him learn that there, then he'll come back with a lot of confidence.
Dany Dubé will be happy with this. He said this for a while that Max wasn't ready to compete in the NHL as there was too many elements from his game that needed to be polished and did not have the time at this level to work on these flaws.
But you know, slowly but surely there's a team taking shape by cutting all the fat little by little. Lats...BGL...Max Pac...Hopefully Dags, Spacek and Mara are next.
