I'll always remember Bob Gainey's mid season mini conference , he was talking about the progress of some of the kids and how some had really regressed via the development curve the organization had for them.

The main issue I've seen with Pacioretty is his poise, once that's figured out, his skillset will be more relevant on an NHL level, til then, he's just a kid afraid of making mistakes

Sucks for the kid but it's what is best for him at this point.

Strange move, I think. Yes, it will be for best to Pacioretty, but without him, D'Agostini will take the spot and we have now only 11 forwards...

Trade brewing???

Really well said.

While this is probably going to be difficult for him over the next couple days, he will ultimately benefit greatly from this.

But you know, slowly but surely there's a team taking shape by cutting all the fat little by little. Lats...BGL...Max Pac...Hopefully Dags, Spacek and Mara are next.
Who would you replace Spacek with?
Montreal doesn't have another defenceman ready to assume those responsibilities to be a top 4.

Either that or perhaps Ryan White will be back up again.

We're 12.. MAB will be kept as a forward. Sorry to burst your bubble but no trade is coming.

Guru Boucher will take care of him...Bring him back early March after the Olympics. He'll be ready.

If Bob cuts Spacek loose, that's actually quite a bit of fat.

Anyway, for cap reasons Spacek has to go sooner or later. Mara after the season. I think I could live with MAB on defence for 10 minutes a game if it had to be done.

good move for him him, he needs to be a scorer, not a player with a checking role. Hopefully his stay with the habs has showed some key points he can improve. A stay in hamilton will do him some good.

I agree and Spacek actually played a awesome game yesterday. I thiught he was our best D on the ice last night.

Let's not forget guys..

Darche was called up 3 games ago and he's played great, and he fits the bill to play a checker much better then Pacioretty. It's still early, but if he can keep up the hard work then he belongs in our Bottom 6. Like I said, he is just better suited to a checking role then Pacioretty.

Good, hopefully we see him bulk up and learn to play a more physical game in the AHL.

hopefully it does him so good. It's just too bad that he seemed to have played a pretty good game yesterday.

I wouldn't feel too comfortable if I was Dago. He'll be off in no time as well?

For now yes but when AK gets back in the lineup I would expect Darche to get sent back down.Anyways I hope he keeps working hard

That or D'Agostini is traded or tried to be sent down and hope no one picks him up. He's even worse off then Pacioretty, *especially* in a checker's role.

If he wasn't on a one way contract, he'd have been sent down long before Pacioretty.

Wow, must be the massive joy from a French Canadian sticking with the club in his stead that made that dutchbag write a piece of garbage like that.

Seriously RDS, WTF?

Doesn't change a thing. Even with a 2-way he'd still need to clear waivers.

Yup. Me too.

It looked as though he had arrived, but that's the thing with young players like that... *So* much of the game is mental.

First Laraque's uselss ass was bought out.
Then we kick ass 2 games in a row.
Now Max was sent down. Now he can work with Boucher.

I would rather say D'Agostini would be healthy scratch and not send back down Darche...

Your right, for some reason I was thinking he was younger then he is...

99.9% sure D'Agostini is on a two-way contract. Waivers has nothing to do with one-way or two-way contracts for young players. I think there is something for veteran players, something to do with $105,000 or something, but I'm not 100% sure there.

Anyway, what's the line-up going to look like next game?

Cammalleri - Plekanec - Gionta
Pouliot - Gomez - Kostitsyn
Darche - Lapierre - D'Agostini
Bergeron - Metropolit - Moen

??
