Yes, he's been pretty bad.

Thanks for the video, I was down on the other end for both of those goals.

Jeez, based on that last goal, it seems Williams has the hockey sense of a tree stump. Not much hope of him developing, I guess.

Not to mention the complete lack of an attempt to get back, dive for the puck etc.

The Wolf Pack have signed defenseman Kevin Schaeffer to pro try-out contract, which says to me that Sanguinetti will be out for at least today.

01/24/2010 Kevin Schaeffer (D) Hartford ADD Signed to PTO

He will wear #44.

Looked like Sangs right knee from the slow-mo yesterday...

Jesus, 1-2 injuries per game... Matter of time before Vlad Vorbiev and Ronnie Sundin are back

Game vs. Manchester looks like it'll turn into a bloodbath. Already 2-0 Manchester on a pair of power play goals less than 10 mins in. The second one came on an absolutely BS boarding call against Crowder, who hit a guy shoulder-to-shoulder who was standing right next to the boards. Ref seems to want to call everything.

Pack look like a mess, are missing a lot of regulars, playing several ECHLers, Valley looks shaky and the PK is BROOOOOTAL!

Yeah, but the Pack are playing without 3 of their top 4 scorers and 2 of their top 4 defensemen. What's the Rangers' excuse?

Valiquette has been really, really shaky. Can't control a rebound to save his life. Two of the four goals were not on him -- his D let perfect cross-slot passes through -- but the other two are goals he should have had. Especially the fourth one, which came on a soft wrist shot from the left boards and beat him far/glove side high.

Pack's defense pairings:

Urquhart - Sauer
Heikkinen - Schaffer
Williams - Nightingale

Four of those six belong in the ECHL.

4-1. Locke off a great cross-slot feed from Roche.

squish, i know they are playing without half their regulars and all... i guess i am just spoiled by previous years Pack teams, who even with injuries pull off one win after the next... this year's team is a disgrace to the past Pack team...

No word yet.

It's 5-1 now. Elkins stole the puck from Sauer, skated in on a partial break. Looks like Vally tried to poke check it, but he ended up bouncing up in the air and coming down behind him in the net.

The way Sauer is playing in this game, its five. Heikkinen is the only one that deserves to be in the AHL.

It's tough when you're missing four starters.

Not only that, but the two "veterans" that were signed this season to provide stability, scoring, leadership and a "presence"... one (Arnason) gave up and fled the country, the other (Rissmiller) was so bad he was loaned to another AHL team... A replacement "veteran" Dandenault has been injured for what it seems like forever now...

This team is poorly constructed compared to the past few years' teams. In the years after the firesale, they were flush with drafted young talent. Now their fresh blood is coming in the form of undrafted free agent signings like Crowder, DiDiomete, Ambuhl, Soryal, Urquhart and Heikkinen.

There are four Rangers draft picks on the ice for the Pack today: Byers, Grachev, Dupont and Sauer. That's it.

Blackhawks pro scout Gord Donelly is in the house. Was interviewed between 2nd/3rd, but my feed died a death so I missed most of what he said when they were talking about the players on the ice. There are apparently 5-6 other scouts in attendance as well (not unusual at all).
