Flames-Phillly Rumors

Flames fan here, and wondering if you guys are realing to make a deal and who is available. A guy like Gagne or Coburn perhaps? Scotty Hartnell would look good in the Flaming C to, but I am just not sure who is available from you guys. Anyone from Calgary you want?

Holmgren is on record saying he'd be interested in depth at the blue-line and with the news yesterday that Ryan Parent will be out until early March (approx.) due to surgery, that is the most likely attraction.

I don't think the teams matchup for a trade.

Unless you guys want Boucher to backup Kiprusoff again.

That could work, McElhinney is god awful. Even for a backup goalie.

I really like Rene Bourque. I have said that a bunch. I'd move Asham to get him plus maybe a little more. Not real sure on the value of Bourque. I'd put Carcillo where Asham is and put Bourque on with Lappy and Betts. That line would be an epic grinder line.

Bourque is pretty close to untouchable unless there's more offense going back. Asham+ is not even close to getting it done.

Boucher for a pick or something could happen though.

I'd look into getting Regehr or Giordano.

Giordano would be perfect for us, but Calgary is unlikely to move him.

Regehr is too important for Calgary to move him and we dont have the space for him.

Expect another Modry/Alberts guy being brought in.

Giordano is close to untouchable. Bourque too, unless we can not get him signed. Regehr I can see getting moved though. Coburn plus for him? Or Gagne and Cobrun for Reger +? (Probably a forward and a prospect

I heard Phaneuf is not happy up there with your coach. We will take him anyday and twice on Sunday. I would package Coburn and Gagne for Phaneuf, a 3rd liner, and a pick.

Pheneuf? really? no thanks

he's probably the most over rated D-man in the league and that's why he didn't make team canada

false, I don't want him unless we can get him for very very cheap. He's become a defensive liability.

Oh goody, a big cap hit for a guy that can hit and shoot hard and do absolutely nothing else...well, except clean up after Sean Avery...No, thanks.

If you think Coburn is bad @ a cap hit under $2mm, Phaneuf will make you puke.

I would move Gagne and Coburn for Regehr and a 2nd/3rd line forward. Bourque makes sense because if I'm not mistaken he kills penalties and obviously would be a solid 2 way player to replace Gagne. Might have to add something.
