Make that 3-1... alright, we're on the board, no shutout for Mason, two more...
What the hell has happened to this team?

I am a junior at Belmont and I love everything except for the tuition (hahah). It's a great school, I am also a Music Business major with a minor in mathematics. I have decided that I am not going to do anything with my Music Business degree since the competition is so incredibly hard and unrealistic, but I've been doing it for three years and a degree is a degree.

UGH!

Chances a plenty, should've gone to OT.
Also, would've pulled the goalie earlier...

Figures, the Jackets break a 5 game losing streak meanwhile we now have a 4 game losing streak.

post game thoughts

I place this blame squarely on our vets and on Arnott in particular.

-4 straight games that none of them have done much of anything, really more than that but our role players carried us.

-The 2nd goal was on a bad call but Arnott should no better than to have his stick parallel to the ice near the guys mid section while we are behind in the 3rd. How long has he been playing, forever?

-On the second goal Klein tries to play goalie instead of taking a man. I thought we'd be rid of that when Zanon left town

-On the 3rd goal again Arnott is trying to play goalie/ fish for the puck instead of taking the man standing in the crease who bangs it home. That is so aggravating.

no team jump or hunger again, multiple flacid power plays, it is getting sad and ugly.

How has been Dumont's play lately ? I could not watch last games and he seems to be really quiet ... doesn't seem to get top line minutes, hurts his play.

Goc and Ward are out (you probably knew that)...

Belak got hurt at practice on Monday, don't know how serious it was but he hobbled off of the ice long before the other guys did.

One of the coaches told us that Dumont and Arnott weren't feeling their best at practice as well.

I wish I knew what Trotzy was saying in the locker room these days. He is always big on people playing their roles, singers singing, dancers dancing, and whatnot.

Its been a long long time since our big singers belted out any sort of tune. Where do you look to when this sort of thing happens? Something has to give, our playoff cushion is all but gone and this is supposed to be our easy stretch of the schedule

That was embarassing.

We can't get a big save when we need it, we can't score a goal when we really need one, we can't start playing until we're trailing by 2 or more goals, we can't start playing until the third period.

There is no way a team can win when they only play 10 minutes a game.

There is no emotion in this team. They looked like they were just waiting for someone else to do something. They know that CBJ hates us because they can't beat us, so what do the preds do, come out flat and let cbj get all confident. They deserve to lose, just standing around all night.

We got lucky that Phoenix won in OT to keep det. 2 points behind us. But det. plays wednesday in minn., go wild. Friday's game in det will be huge and we could find ourselves barely hanging onto 8th place. Luckily calgary sucks right now.

(I did think in the first period, they played OK, but couldn't keep it going as usual, Legwand was playing well)

*sigh*

So what does Arnott say when he campaigns for scoring help at the deadline this year?

"You know we need more scoring from the third and fourth lines. How else do you expect me and Sully to ride their coattails into the playoffs?"

Hornqvist is really emerging as a real offensive threat for you guys. Reminds me of a smaller Franzen.

It seems like the script in this 4 game slide is, start slow, fall behind, finally wake up, only to come up short lol.

I think the thing hurting us most is the goaltending. You hold a team to 17 shots, they are playing well enough defensively, make a freaking save. We need one of the goalies to take the reigns....

Someone besides Hornqvist needs to go to the freaking net. Honestly the slide started when we started getting healthy it seems like

Fact: Embarrassing

Fact: This team looked at the standings following the Canada trip and started thinking they were better than they actually were.

Fact: The Invisible Man, the artist formerly known as Steve Sullivan, and J Putrid D'oh mont are satisfied with waiting until "the playoff push" after the Olympic Break to show up.

Fact: No team can beat another team, even the Blowjackasses, down a man the entire game. Belak 3 shifts, 2:04 minutes, and not a single second of TOI after 8:48 into the first period. Was he healthy enough to play or not? "Plain and simple, it’s more of a numbers thing,’’ Trotz said. "Economically, you have 20 players (on the roster) and that’s what we’re using … It makes my life easy. There’s no decisions.’’ Gosh, that makes me feel better.

Fact: Failcake tastes like sh#t.

I know Ive said it in every thread every day, but Hamhuis-Klein pairing was terrible again and Klein was the worse of the two. 3 more years
